Bellbottoms are sexy on gals. Signed someone born in 1977.

^^^^^ I agree with you adamwarlock2099 and in my area the girls wore them predominantly from 1968 to 1982 ... during my last part of Grade School to my graduation from College.

Look no further than the LOSH to prove the longevity of bell bottoms sartorial splendor.
Phantom Girl rocked her bell bottoms.
Pulsar Stargrave shows even men can be too sexy, too sexy for the bell bottoms.

Mister Spaceman ... these jeans were very popular back in the 70s. Back in my High School Days ... I seen these kind of Jeans worn about 15 percent of girls in High School and they still do after I left when I graduated in 1978. I got in trouble once with my dad because me and a few of my friends were hanging out in front of my house and a couple of girls were sitting on his car. The next morning, he discovered a bunch of paint scratches from the studs on their jeans.

I saw some woman last weekend with HUGE bellbottoms. The bottom of those jeans was about the size of my waist!

I think they made a comeback about 20 years ago, though I hadn't seen a pair in more than a decade, I'm pretty sure.

Working in a hospital I get to see all sorts of past fashion's being worn. Retro never dies, it just gets to be recirculated through the Salvation Army and Goodwill to another generation. Everything that goes around comes around again it seems. That 10 year cycle seems to be more a sliding scale since it seems every 8-12 years what was old once more captures the imagination of another generation to being hip and cool yet again.

Forgot to mention the bare midriff "craze" in costumes during the 70's. Plenty of plunging necklines well below the navel to be found in the pages of LOSH thanks to Cockrum and Grell. Then Marvel has both Ms.Marvel and Black Belly belly strutting their six pack abs in cut open see my belly button costumes.
Are there more?

Funny, I always thought of the mare midriff as a late 90's and onward thing, basically popularized by Britney Spears. Still very popular, unfortunately.

More proof of the cycle of everything old is new again and that young folk take things they have viewed from the past and update/tweak/reinvent for their own generation. I believe ever since the summer of love in the 60's the bare shoulders and bare midriff has been around.

Betty and Veronica were rockin' that style back in the 12-cent days

As the temperature is rising, my older daughter's wardrobe is morphing into an unending string of shirts that show some amount of her midriff, which I am decidedly not comfortable with.

My daughter is 5, and I'm NOT looking forward to the teen years! My older one is 13 1/2, almost 5'6" (all of it legs), blonde hair, green eyes, and she both swims and runs track competitively. I recently broke an axe while chopping wood, but I'm keeping the handle, because it swings so sweetly and I figure, if I have to beat the boys off with something, it might as well be something that works well
