 My first comic book with the Hulk was Marvel Super-Heroes #54, but that doesn't have a Marie Severin cover. However MSH #54 reprints Tales to Astonish #99 … which does! (Also it's a great cover! I almost went with #100 (Hulk and Subby), which is also great, but I decided to stick with #99.) Tales to Astonish #99 - Cover by Dan Adkins and Marie Severin |

Is that Erik the Red? I remember him or someone looking a lot like him showing up in the 90’s X-Men animated series but don’t recall reading anything about him in the comics.
