Marvel Studios had it's presentation at D23 Expo a little while ago today. Also, these characters are slated to appear in the MCU movies as well. So no restrictions like what was with Netflix. Some other tidbits at the event included: - Randall Park and Kat Dennings are returning as Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis for WandaVision. - Wyatt Russell has been cast as U.S. Agent for The Falcon and Winter Soldier show. Personally, I'm really excited. I can't wait for Ms. Marvel and She Hulk especially.

I'm going to have to get Netflix ... Disney + not Netflix. Marvel is done with Netflix, all there new shows will be on the new Disney streaming service. -M Good, I have a niece that has that and she can help me to get started ... thanks for the info.

Of the three, the one I'm most excited for is Moon Knight (been a fan since Moench/Sienkiewicz), but I think it would have worked better as a Netflix show. This will be too sanitized because it is Disney, and Moon Knight, at his core, is an individual who has most recently been portrayed in the comics as a deeply-disturbed, psychologically-unstable sociopath with multiple personalities (not like his original run, where he simply "played" the different roles, but actually shifts from personality to personality as the need arises) and serious violence and rage issues. My fear here is that this is just going to be "Batman Lite" and will suffer all the more for it.
If this is Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel, I bet my girls will watch it, and I have liked the comics enough to probably check it out.
Really hoping the She-Hulk series is like the Dan Slott run, because that was some brilliant stuff.

So, none of the Netflix shows are being revived for Disney+, then?

In that case, I wish I could buy Disney and Netflix. And Sony while we're at it.
EDIT: Thank you for the explanation.

So, none of the Netflix shows are being revived for Disney+, then? Netflix made* the shows and still has some stake in them, and Disney doesn't like sharing the pie, so if those characters come back, they will not likely have any of the Netflix created parts in them, so will likely be reboots rather than revivals. The Netflix contract was a complicated thing to get the shows launched and will take as much to untangle as the early movie rights deals Marvel made to get out of bankruptcy at the beginning of this millennium. What you have already seen form Netflix is, in all reality, all you are ever going to see of those iterations and all hints or hopes otherwise is just spin and PR (from Disney, Netflix, and fans) to mollify fans while the new stuff from D+ is developed and launched and Netflix tries to find its identify in the new market landscape of the streaming service wars. -M * all actor, and creative contracts were with Netflix, not with Marvel or Disney for example Also, there's a clause preventing Marvel from using their characters in another television series until something like 2 years after their Netflix cancellation. I believe the costumes, props, etc. were sold off.

I think it's cool that all these series are going to be live action. I don't like all these media companies putting so much television content on pay streaming services, but there's a good chance I'll get Disney+ with all its Marvel content (plus other stuff as icing on top, like Star Wars & National Geographic programming).

Love the Maslany casting. She killed it in Orphan Black.

*Googles "Tatiana Maslany"*
Well, she wouldn't be my first choice for the role. Or second. Or third. Or...

Honestly, I hope Ms. Maslany was cast to play an untransformed Jennifer Walters, with another taller, muscular actress as She-Hulk proper. 'Cause a short, scrawny She-Hulk would just piss me off.
