I found another one in Daredevil #37 by Colan and Lee. It's an three part story in which Doctor Doom switches bodies with Daredevil so he can attack the Fantastic Four in disguise. (There was another similar story a few issues prior in which The Trickster used a Daredevil costume to sneak up on the FF.) It goes amusingly wrong since Daredevil uses Doctor Doom's body for all sorts of mischief. He calls the FF to warn them about the attack. Then he uses Doom's political office to declare war on Latveria's neighbors. Doom is all too eager to get his own body back from Daredevil at this point. Then Daredevil has trouble convincing the FF that he's not Doom anymore, justifying (thinly) a full-issue FF slugfest by Kirby in which Spider-Man and Thor get roped onto Daredevil's team. Goofy fun. Man, that one is hard to buy! What was Doom's first reaction? "But... But... You are BLIND, Daredevil!!!!" (Bumps into a chair). "BAH! I refuse to COUNTENANCE this FARCE any longer!" (Tips several vials over). "DOLT! Give me back my royal body right this MOMENT!" (Knocks himself out by walking into a door).

Man-o-man I do love those classic 50's science fiction & fantasy comics. Have the Showcase Presents of those and keep them handy for some quick light interesting reads. LOTS of sci-fi mind swaps found there. Good call sir!

Doom immediately notices that Daredevil's eye lenses are opaque, but that his other senses compensate. Doom falsely assumes this is something that Daredevil does on purpose to sharpen his other senses; he never takes off the mask to discover that Daredevil is actually blind. Both DD and Doom have some trouble getting adjusted to their new bodies, and DD-in-Doom has to get rescued by a cop from some NYC street punks.

The earliest one I can think of in other media is Edgar Rice Burroughs's Mastermind of Mars in which rich old people pay genius Ras Thavas to trasnpalnt their brrains into beautiful young bodies, but also there's a human brain transplanted into the body of a Great Martian Ape. But I feel there must have been something earlier.

Here is another! Odin created the Armored Destroyer which is powered up when the mind of someone inhabits it, turning it into an unstoppable weapon of destruction. That is brains and brawn in its rawest form!

Here is another! Odin created the Armored Destroyer which is powered up when the mind of someone inhabits it, turning it into an unstoppable weapon of destruction. That is brains and brawn in its rawest form! This may have been changed at some point after I stopped following Marvel comics, but my memory of the earlier appearances of the Destroyer is that it was an individual's "life force" that animated the Destroyer, which then proceeded to destroy everything regardless of what the individual's mind might have wanted to do had it been in charge. I think one storyline had Thor reluctant to go all out against the Destroyer because it was Sif's spirit inside, or something like that.

I believe you are correct about it being the life force but it has been shown that those who inhabit the Destroyer's body can be capable of exerting their will in order to control/influence/ guide its actions. It means to me some mind/mental capability has to be present if that is possible.

In Iron Man #203-204, Madame Masque arrives in the nick of time to shoot Bethany Cabe who was about to murder Tony. Searching for answers, Tony learns that while Bethany was held prisoner previously by Obadiah Stane, a scientist underling of his performed a psyche transfer between Tony's two ex-girlfriends as part of Madame Masque's trojan attempt for revenge against him.
I want to say that Emma Frost and Bobby Drake switched minds and bodies around Uncanny X-Men #313 but I'm not sure if it was that drastic or did Emma merely possess Bobby for awhile.

Here's a great one from Batman #85 and later reprinted in B atman #182 in which The Joker and Batman swap bodies: That photo of Batman with his arms around his criminal buddies... Meanwhile, Batman as The Joker even runs like the clown prince of crime. Always a giant prop around when you need it.

One of my favorites: during Grant Morrison' Doom Patrol run, the Brain had his … brain … installed in Robot Man's body, which had unfortunate results.

Not exactly mind swapping so much as mind basing. Ultron using the brain patterns of Wonder Man Simon William's to create the Vision and Janet Van Dyne the Wasp for Jocosta.
