Had to go with #2, as that's my favorite era of Supergirl. But I really liked #7 as well. I thought the headband worked w/that hairstyle, and the red from her emblem going onto her shoulders looked cool. And I wish we'd seen more of #3.

My favourite would actually be the one Kara wore for the first few seasons of the current TV show, but barring that I really liked the '70s one (with boots, as pointed out by zaku ). It wasn't overdesigned, and while it was clearly inspired by Superman's costume, it wasn't simply a feminine version of it. If we're going that route, my favourite would be various outfits worn by Laura Vandervoort in Smallville, but that's more because of the actress than the clothes. The only version of the character I ever liked - again, totally because of the actress, not the character or the writing or the show in general.

70's Solo Series. It was the her first costume I saw when I started to read comics. ETA the costume I remember had boots Hmm, you're picture's not showing up for me, and I can't copy & paste the URL. Sorry you are right! ETA: A variant cover of a recent issue of Supergirl homaged this costume ETA2: This is from the 1982 DC Style Guide by Lopez, so it should be definitive visual reference for that particular costume

Only after all these years I has just realized that in this costume the cape is attached directly to her choker...

I went with the original, but always thought the white t-shirt was a nice change-of-pace that signified the character without being as much a variation on Superman's suit. (But I'll admit I never read a story of the character in that costume.)

I still like the pleated skirt best.

I go with #11. The Matrix Supergirl was the first Supergirl I was exposed to, so her costume is the one I default to when I think "Supergirl". I do quite like the headband and original suits, also.

I'm not a fan of the Matrix Supergirl, but I do love the costume. I voted for it as well, (though I do like #1, 2, and 7 a lot, too.)

I have to go with the 70s solo costume as it was her costume when I first encountered her in the Superman Family comic.
A very close second place goes to the white t-shirt/bare mid-riff costume. I loved her appearances in the DCAU.
