None. I preferred the story when Mr Majestic replaced Superman for a short time.

So Which One today folks? Steve Rogers as the Captain or John Walker as USAgent? It also crosses into the Captain America role as well. Rogers of course is the better Captain America but Walker is more fun as the USAgent.

Is this one even serious? Steve Rogers. To be fair, though, I've only ever seen John Walker on the TV show. He appeared after I'd stopped reading Marvel Comics. Dude in the TV show needed his ass kicked though.

Carl Zante (the Acrobat) from Strange Tales #114.
I'm kidding. I prefer Mr. Rogers. It's a beautiful day in Cap's neighborhood...

I'm not familiar with this John Walker, so I'll go with Steve.

So, if I'm understanding the question correctly, you're asking who I like better in that black faux-Cap suit, Rogers or Walker. So in that regard I'd have to say Walker - because I've only read stories (mainly West Coast Avengers) in which he's wearing it as USAgent. And as I gather it, the character is supposed to be a hyperpatriotic a-hole.

And congratulations to @edobosnar for his correct interpretation of my sneaky question.

And congratulations to @edobosnar for his correct interpretation of my sneaky question. Which means I have no answer and am utterly unsure that I understand the question. And I'm pretty sure I'm okay with that.

And congratulations to @edobosnar for his correct interpretation of my sneaky question. Which means I have no answer and am utterly unsure that I understand the question. And I'm pretty sure I'm okay with that. The question was about which character you prefer under the "title" The Captain. While each character was both Captain America, Waljer took on the role of The Captain becoming USAgent. No real contest as Steve Rogers wins as Captain America, but....as the Captain in the black suit Walker has proven to be a more interesting and argumentative and arrogant and patriotic a-hole and etc...as USAgent.

Yeah, the black suit, the Walker character, USAgent - all that stuff is way after my time so I have no input on this one.

I had no idea there was anyone called The Captain other than our own Richard Bishop.
So...Yeah...I got nothing.

I had no idea there was anyone called The Captain other than our own Richard Bishop. So...Yeah...I got nothing. Yeah it's starting from this issue in late '87... spinning out of this issue where Rogers gave up the role of Cap for the second (third? Fourth? who can keep track) and then took up another identity it was essentially the Englehart Nomad storyline beat by beat with a new coat of paint and the "original" twist of someone else become Captain America and Bucky for a brief period this time while he had given up the role. Essentially more of Marvel eating its own tail in the Shooter era. -M PS notice the oh so original costume of Rogers new sidekick "D-Man" in that first cover...

Gotcha. I stopped buying any Marvel books when they brought back Jean Grey (so early '86). I've only bought a handful of titles since then. So most of that kind of stuff is a blank.

Yeah, nothing after 1978 really counts with me.
