Well, it's on to the semifinals of the Classic Superhero Group Tournament!
The Avengers easily won Avengers-Defenders War II 20-6
The Legion of Super-Heroes surprised the not-so-merry mutants of the X-Men 17-10
The JLA staged an exciting comeback against the earth-2 JSA counterparts 15-12
The Fantastic Four showed those young Teen Titan punks that it was clobberin' time 18-9
Who ya got here, the Legion of Super-Heroes or the Fantastic Four?
Poll will close Monday March 23 at 6:30 AM EST.

As much as I love the FF, I truly enjoy the larger cast and diverse interactions of the LOSH. Any issue you can different teaming's and then you can add the setting of the future for variety and there is (or used to be) such hope, optimism and enthusiasm within the series until Giffen went all dark and moody.

Once again, agreeing with brutalis, much as I love em both, the Legion takes this one.

As much as I love the Legion (and I do!), I gotta give this to the FF for that wonderful run from #36 to #65.

I think that the FF run from #44-65 (or maybe even thru 66 or 67) is the best run of the Silver Age, hands down. However, I still voted for the Legion, in large part because I think the Paul Levitz's second run is every bit as good as that FF run, and yet it runs for 7 years as opposed to 2 years for the FF run. OK, Byrne's FF is great, too, but I also love several of the other Legion runs, such as Shooter's run, plus the reboot Legion was cool, etc. Tough call!

I couldn't have put it better myself. I love the combination of sci-fi with the superhero genre, I love the huge cast and the diverse worlds, and I agree that Giffen dragged things down in the late 80's to early 90's.
