 First laugh in days, my friend! Incidentally, not sure if this is a UK thing, but some books appear to have two ISBN numbers, at least that's what my bookstore tells me!

There are two types of ISBN formats. The original format was 10 digits; but, the printing world expanded enough thatthy needed more and it was upgraded to 13-digits.
You also get two different types of barcodes on books: UPC format and EAN. Most bookstores use the EAN code, while other outlets, like a Walmart will use the UPC.
When I was a receiving manager, at Barnes & Noble, it used to drive me nuts when I would be checking in books and the publishers printed the UPC code format on the rear cover of paperbacks, generating an error on my scanner, forcing me to flip open the cover to scan the interior EAN code. It would slow my rhythm down when I had a shipment of paperbacks (whenI started, we had to scan individual titles. When I lelft, 20 years later, we just scanned a barcode on the carton).

Just a few I am always looking back through and finding new gems to think upon. The annotated Savage sword of Conan Star Wars at Marvel (1977-1986) by Confessor "There. I said it". Opinions on Comic books Hey, nice to hear that my SW review thread is still being enjoyed, even though it's finished. That's lovely to hear. It's also all the encouragement I need to finish re-uploading the pictures to it, after tinypic.com closed down. I'd already done the first three years or so, but then I got bored. I'll get on it again. |

I'm another fan of the Annotated Savage Sword thread.
Codystarbuck's "The Other Guys" thread is one of my favorite things on the internet.
Shaxper's Batman from '79 to 2011 thread rounds off my top three. For whatever reason, I wrote off the '80s Batman as something I didn't need to bother with, despite only sampling a couple issues from that era. That thread has been the single largest culprit for the expansion of my "want" list over the past year or two.

So I'm passing the time doing some re-readings of my collection and am reading again the 75 issue BOOKS OF MAGIC Vertigo series from the 1990s.
The primary creators were John Ney Rieber, Gary Amaro, Peter Gross & Peter Snejbjerg.
Up to issue #35 now - so good!
The Molly character is wonderful.

File this one under Surviving the Quarantine with a BIG LAUGH: CGC declares itself an Essential Business and remains open. Yeah, to have your comic book collection sealed in plastic is Essential BS from the very beginning, but to stay open at this time during the pandemic? That is just ludicrous to me.
