Samson And Delilah (1950) A comic I used to have, the movie starred Hedy Lamarr and Victor Mature (and I've managed not to see it; it used to be kept out of circulation by some group that didn't find it sufficiently Biblical in some way). The art is pretty obviously Wood/Orlando/Harrison studio, I've always wondered if it was based on a still from the film. My guess is that the erstwhile Hedwig Kiesler is poised to chop off Sammy's excess locks?

Wait. I’m a little confused. Can we post comics that turned into movies? Or is it comics that followed the movie only?

Wait. I’m a little confused. Can we post comics that turned into movies? Or is it comics that followed the movie only? This week's topic - Movie Adaptations.
To me, that means a comic book adaptation of a feature film, not the reverse. Also, time frame in these things is usually anything previous to the last 10 years. So, you have all kids of Western/Dell/Gold Key material, DC, Marvel, independent, Golden Age and more.

Love the fact that DC do a movie adaptation, but don't do their own; just purchase someone else's. Curious as to why Dr No is using a Nambu pistol, when it neither appears in the film or the novel (which introduced Bond's Walther PPK in a chapter that gets information provided to Fleming wrong). Maybe the artist went looking for a picture of a Luger and found a Nambu, by mistake and didn't know the difference, or maybe he felt an Asian villain needed an Asian pistol. Pretty crappy one, though.

Wait. I’m a little confused. Can we post comics that turned into movies? Or is it comics that followed the movie only? To be clear - I was looking for comics that were direct adaptations of specific pre-existing movies. But this contest has a history of, shall we say, flexibility when it comes to meeting the initial criteria. People post based on their interpretation of the theme.
