One of the joys over the last year, with COVID and other disasters and tragedies and hatred, was the bright, shining young girl, Nandi Bushell, who challenged Dave Grohl, of Foo Fighters, to a drum-off, and Grohl responded. They traded videos back and forth and it was cool seeing a big name band member encouraging a young musical talent.
Well, now, the circle is complete. On August 26, 2021, at the Forum, in Los Angeles, Nandi Bushell joined Foo Fighters on stage, to play "Everlong".
I actually kind of teared up, seeing her playing the hell out of the song and the crowd just cheering her on. Even if she never has a major musical career of her own (and I suspect she will), she had one hella-cool moment!

I ran across these advertisements with the Peanuts gang for the '62 Ford Falcons. These would have hit in late '61 when the new model years were released. So significantly before A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Love early attempts at computer animation as a lot of it feels very abstract

Harlan Ellison introduces us to several comic-book greats, including Eisner, Kirby, Ditko, Moebius, and whippersnappers like Wrightson, Miller and Sim.
For a moment there I thought we just might see Steve Ditko in person, but he proved as camera-shy as ever!

Long interview with Frank Herbert, from 1969. It is led by Willis E. McNelly, the main writer of the Dune Encyclopedia... The only non-Herbert work that I consider being an actual part of the Dune saga. (The books by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson are, as far as I'm concerned, fanfiction... fanfiction that, unlike the Encyclopedia, was not endorsed by Frank.)

Julie Nolke is hilarious, and I love iconoclastic takes on classic material.
