The package I sent was finally delivered today after 9 days in limbo. I was never particularly good at playing the board game "Guess Who" when I was growing up but is this the package you were speaking of?   If not I thank who ever my Secret Santa may be, because this was a serious haul to come home to after a loooong day at work! Star Trek, Conan, Supergirl, and some of those amazing DC Blue Ribbon Collections. I know trades collecting specific story arcs are the modern thing but those old year end style digests DC used to do were always so fun and I wish they'd put those kinds of books out again. |

With the shipping crunch, it may take a little longer for some folks to receive their packages. If you have received your package, please take time to post you have even if you haven't opened the gift yet to provide a small piece of peace of mind to your Santa. Since I know who sent what to whom, I have seen some people post they have sent and received confirmation of delivery, but the recipients haven't posted that they received anything yet, and that can cause a little unneeded anxiety in this hectic time of year. I realize people are busy this time of year, and posting may be just one more thing on a to do list, but an event like this only works if the participants carry through with the communication it takes to do this long distance. I try to track who has sent, who's received, etc. to make sure everyone that participated got something, but I can only work with the information people provided me, so it limits what I can do to see this through.

 Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays y'all! I just a moment ago got a package delivered from Canada - so fantastic timing! and an advance thank you to whom I assume is my CCF Secret Santa (my Canadian friends are all in British Colombia (Vancouver), Manitoba (Winnipeg), and Ontario(Toronto) - and funnily enough, I also got cards from a couple of those friends today too), but I don't recognize this city in Ontario. so gonna hold off until morning to open with other gifts, and then will come back here to post pics! Joyous holidays to all! |

My Santa informed me that the second part of my gift is still on its way, so I'm going to hold off on posting pics, but based on the first part, I'm really excited to see what is coming.

Opened my package today, and it was indeed from my CCF Secret Santa - PinkFloydSound17 I send sincere thanks for this wonderful assortment of stuff!  thus far, I've enjoyed everything I've listened to I've really liked. just at 1st listen, they seem to be a nice mix of Industrial/Grunge. With vocals that seem to be channeling mid 70's Mick Jagger. Love hearing new music from a band I'm not familiar with. also in the package:  Various Marvel books - including the 1st 6 issues of this Punisher book, 3 Immortal Hulk books, and a classic "Red Wolf" + the Film adaptation of Rocketeer (all these are new to me, so yay! and I've been curious about the Hulk book, so can't wait to read). and finally, a trade with some lovely Quietly art work. . . we shall see how this goes, as I've not ready any of these X-books in a LONG time. . LOL  thank you, Pinkfloydsound17 ! love it all, and it made my day.  |
