This time around they cut the meeting to 47 minutes. The extended time has been eliminated by zoom.

Gotta take care of the few friends I have don't ya know. She's been having a tough year with COVID and her being a nurse has meant she missed out on being at her grand-daughter's birth in August and has yet to see or hold her in person. SAFETY FIRST! So a long morning spent visiting, cooking and eating while providing encouragement along with emotional and mental support was the best gift I could give for her birthday.

This time around they cut the meeting to 47 minutes. The extended time has been eliminated by zoom. I'm no Zoom expert but I believe as the host you can get around this. As the end of the meeting approaches, you (the host) should choose Leave Meeting (not End for All!). Although it will look like the meeting has ended for everyone else on the call, if we all click on the original invitation link a new 40-minute period will start over again. There's no limit on how many times you can do this. The host of a meeting I was in last week did this and it worked fine. It's a little disruptive, sure, but preferable to buying a subscription. EDIT: Found this article which details a few ways to get round the 40-minute limit, including the method I mentioned above. I was aware of the loophole but it seemed that the meeting was running its course with impending Football games on yesterdays schedule. |

My Sunday plans were superseded by my wife having tachycardia (extremely rapid heartbeat) for six hours. She's fine now but I wasn't online yesterday.
