I ordered this from Amazon way back in October 2020. Their web site says the release date is April 6, and I should get my copy by April 16th.

It amazes me how quickly a second printing became a run-away collector's item. I have to wonder if they'll consider a THIRD printing now.

I preordered from Amazon and am HOPING they ship it in a decent box this time around. I feel like i haven't received a minty book from them the past few times.

Every one of my Saga editions has dings because of Amazon. Fortunately, they're not all that noticeable, but it's still obnoxious for this costly of a collectible book. |

Having been jilted years ago when I tried to order the first printing of this hardcover, I had preordered from Tales of Wonder several months ago. I was eagerly awaiting the publication and shipping date.
Today, I got a customer service email from them:
"Unfortunately, due to an error we are unable to fill Usagi Yojimbo Saga Ltd Ed HC (2nd Ed) Vol 01 in your order. The number of copies we received was less than the number of copies we ordered and this title is now sold out through our distributor so we cannot obtain more."
I am assuming they actually meant fewer than instead of 'less than' because quantity is different than cost/value. Hopefully others had better customer service than what I got from Tales of Wonder.
Either way, I am jilted again despite having pre-ordered it as soon as it was announced.
Maybe there will be a third hard cover printing and I'll get lucky so that my bookshelf can be symmetrical with all hardcovers displayed.

We at Usagi Studios have not received any copies and, if we do, may not be very many because it is a second edition.

Just received second-hand news that Dark Horse plans to reprint all nine Saga volumes in hardcover, so, if you missed out the first time around, it's time to start saving!

Any inkling if they will reprint any in softcover? I missed a couple of volumes when I was recovering form surgery a few years back and they are super pricey on the secondary market too. -M |

Only the hardcovers were supposed to be limited editions. |

I ordered a copy from my local shop, and through Amazon to hedge my bets. They both arrived, but the Amazon copy was dinged up pretty badly. If you want one that will look good on the shelf (the spine is perfect) I'm selling it on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/234031047618I'm not trying to kill anyone -- I've auctioned this off on eBay twice, it "sold" for $150. and both times the buyer flaked out on me and cancelled the order -- I think it was speculators looking to flip it.
