Dell Four Color #193 " NO ordinary animals like dogs/wolves, cats/other felines, squirrels, etc." A cat that walks on its hind legs and acts like a human is not ordinary.

I posted the second because I assumed the first was being challenged. Go with the Batman Family one.

I posted the second because I assumed the first was being challenged. Go with the Batman Family one. I wasn't challenging so much as pointing out something is the contest description. I know that I have missed things that led to posting a cover that didn't meet the criteria. But, as always Rule 9 is the Prime Directive.

Read like a challenge to me, in cold text, which inspired my sarcastic (but intended as humorous) reply. I missed the part about no cats, etc, though I would say we are splitting hairs when we talk about an anthropomorphic animal, vs a realistic depiction. No blood, no foul; but, I do think, occasionally, we get bogged down into semantics in these things, when the point is to have fun posting covers, on a theme. My philosophy is to heck with the rules, if you have a creative enough justification for the departure, such as an anthropomorphic cat. What is an elf but a mythological creature, with feline physical (ears) and personality traits (toying with prey, looking pretty, but actually very dangerous). For context, when I was going through the NROTC program, we had a field meet, every semester, where each company (we were divided into 3 companies, for organizational purposes) competed in various events (tug of war, relay races, etc), where the main object was not so much to compete as to cheat like hell, but be as creative with it as the rules provided loopholes. For instance, we had one relay race where you had to run to one end of a field, consume a food item and then whistle, before returning to the other end and sending the next team member down. Of course, the food items would interfere with whistling. One of our female team members had a rape alert whistle and we had our team members palm it, run down and jam their food into their mouth, blow the whistle and head back. The judges allowed it since they only specified that participants had to whistle, not whistle just with their own mouths. These things were just a way to have some fun, for a change, as a break from training, which is why we cheated like hell. We also usually had a company song that mocked and derided the other two companies, usually questioning their manhood and possible Communist sympathies (it was the 80s and it was the military) Besides, everyone knows that the Prime Directive is always broken by Kirk.

I didn't take any of your replies as antagonistic Cody. It is all in good fun.

I can't believe how many pointy ear covers there have been in comics. I thought it would be hard to find one.

But you didn't follow rule 9. You should have just not voted for it like everyone else. EX: The last contest with the word " doom" , many of the covers didn't have that, I saw Doomed and Doomsday. I just didn't vote for them. The only time the rules say you should point out something is when It is not 10 years or older.

True, why I didn't make any deal of it when cody said he was keeping his cover (or not, I am not sure). I wasn't challenging it, I was pointing out something in the contest text I thought he might have missed.
