Number 43 - Anti-MonitorAlter Ego - Anti-Monitor First Appearance - Crisis on Infinite Earths #2 (May 1985, Cameo) Crisis on Infinite Earths #6 (September 1985, Full) Created by - Marv Wolfman Illustrated by - George Perez and Jerry Ordway Abilities Near limitless cosmic powers; Matter and energy manipulation Reality warping, Absorption of entire universes Superhuman strength and durability Interesting Fact - The Anti-Monitor, who appears monstrous, barely resembles the Monitor, who bears a physically near-human appearance. The Anti-Monitor has empty, sometimes luminous eye sockets, and a wide, wrinkled mouth, often mistaken for a mass of teeth. When his armor is destroyed by Supergirl, his form appears not dissimilar to that of the Monitor. Interesting Fact 2 - Among the other beings who died because of his actions were the Crime Syndicate of America; Kid Psycho; Nighthawk; the Losers; Flower of Easy Company; Starman; the Immortal Man; Dove; Kole; Clayface; Bug-Eyed Bandit; Angle Man; Prince Ra-Man; Sunburst; Lori Lemaris; Earth-2's Green Arrow, Huntress, Robin, and Alexander Luthor, Sr. of Earth-Three just to name a few. Reason for Rank: Rotten to the core, just as bad as Parallax - nothing more and nothing less. I simply despise him completely, but his appearance in the Crisis story-line is enough to place him here.

Number 42 - Dana Dearden (Superwoman, Mrs. Superman)Alter Ego - Obsession Group Affiliation - None Whatsoever Created by - Don't Know Illustrated by - Various Artists Abilities Super-speed & Flight of Hermes, Super-strength of Hercules Vision powers of Heimdall, Energy blasts Interesting Fact - Obsessed Superman fan Dana Dearden dated Jimmy Olsen to get close to Superman, and when that didn't work she stole mystic artifacts which granted her the strength of Hercules, the speed (and flight) of Hermes, the thunderbolts of Zeus, and the sight of Heimdall. Dana donned a green-and-purple uniform Reason for Rank: Why? ... because in one adventure (Adventures of Superman #532) it was an earth shattering issue of her and Superman battling each other out and I was amused by her determination to become Mrs. Superman. One of the most determined Super-Villain that I know of in Superman's life. Worthy to be ranked here. Her other costume - and frankly I don't like this one one bit!

Dear All Members - I'm having a hard time coming up with 50 Marvel Villains and I won't do a good job ranking them fairly, so after this series is over - I will do a 50 of the most Gorgeous Female Superheroes from all walk of life - heroines from Dynamite Comics, Images Comics, Independent, DC Comics, Marvel, and any other Comic Company that I can think of.

The amount of hatred I have towards Parallax Hal Jordan could fuel the sun for the next millennia. I know y'all will probably want to take me DC fan card away for saying it, but I preferred Hal as a villain (and even more as the Spectre)... he was pretty boring as a Green Lantern, IMO. I find Kyle, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner (in the order) all far more interesting. I always thought Maxima could have used more 'screen time'.. like having a Titans space adventure where her and Starfire team up... that'd be epic An Earth were she actually DID marry Superman would also be most interesting. Anti-Monitor I always considered more a plot device than a character, so having him low on the list is good.... I probably would have put him last so far.

Naw, you're not alone wildfire, I never cared for Hal as a GL for pretty much what you said. I liked him as Parallax because that fit his personality, at least when I was reading GL, back when Kyle took over. After he went Ion I never read much more GL, so I dunno how Hal was after being Parallax. I also didn't read much, if any of him as Spectre, though that persona seems to fit him well too.
JLAfan your next list I eagerly await.

Number 41 - MongolAlter Ego - None Group Affiliation - Sinestro Corps, Mongul Corps Created by - Len Wein Illustrated by - Jim Starlin Abilities Superhuman strength and durability, Near invulnerability, Teleportation Limited telepathy, Energy projection Use of shrinking technology Interesting Fact - Starlin often receives credit as creator of the character, but Wein in an interview stated "Well, [Mongul] had Starlin visuals, but he was my creation." Wein said he conceived Mongul specifically as a villain to physically challenge Superman. Reason for Rank: Physically Imposing and one of the most dangerous foes of Superman's life and one's of the most deadly too. And, not one of my favorites - despite being ranked here.

What about a list of the most prolific female characters, or the most influential? I think you'd generate a lot more conversation out of those topics than you would on one based solely on looks. I mean, there are only so many times one can say, "yeah, she is hot" where as there are a myriad of interesting opinions on whether or not Lois Lane is more important than Sue Richards or Wonder Woman.

Number 40 - ToymanAlter Ego - Winslow Percival Schott Group Affiliation - Superman Revenge Squad, The Society, Injustice League Created by - Don Cameron Illustrated by - Ed Dobrotka Abilities Mechanical genius manifests in the form of many violent, destructive, and dangerous toys. Interesting Fact - The Toyman first appeared in 1943 and appeared in several Golden Age Superman stories. Schott appeared less frequently in comics published after the early 1950s, but remained a semi-regular foe during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Reason for Rank: One of the most diabolical villain around; nearly impossible to defeat him. One of my favorites from the Superfriends cartoon show.

What, I'm going to do here is a compromise that will be in your favor, but I will be suspending this thread on Thursday and Friday to work on this and I may have to remove some of my previous selections and add new characters from all walks of life. However, they have to be some degree of beauty to be on this countdown.

Please read the previous post carefully To be clear, he was complimenting you. You may not have meant it as such, but that came off a bit harsh. I will be tasteful as I can, I will try to be tactful as possible, but you have to remember that I have an extensive history of female characters that will enlighten everyone. I work on this for 90 minutes this morning and I came out with a sure fire list.

I like the idea of a female characters countdown but I don't think their beauty should have anything to do with it. Too many people these days judge and objectify others based on their appearance. I think we would be better off if we looked at what's inside a person instead of what's outside. I would rather see a list of female characters that is based on their personalities, powers, actions over the years, and their mass appeal.
