Dear all, When we quote posts with their images during the 12 Days of Christmas event, it makes Kurt's job way more difficult when it's time to tally the results. That's why our host for this activity requested that we remove images from quoted posts. Since enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of us, we can forget about that and images keep showing up in quoted posts. Because I'm a lazy sod (one of my lesser failings) and don't want to write a PM each time it happens, I hope you don't mind if I just delete such images quietly (without altering anything else, naturally). So if you see that one of your posts in the Classic Comics Christmas thread was edited by yours truly, rest assured that only an extraneous image was removed. No slight is meant or implied; just a desire to make Kurt's job easier with as little fuss as possible. Cheers! I started using the spoiler feature to add more pictures. That's pretty clever! Excellent idea!

What a wonderful journey this was this year. A big and heartfelt thank you to Cei-U! for shepherding this event each year. It is truly one of my favorite parts of the holiday season each year and one of the few holiday traditions I still cling to. Thank you also to each and everyone who participated for sharing your favorites and enriching this experience for everyone else. (I'd try to tag each of you, but I would likely forget someone unintentionally, and I don't want anyone to feel left out). Merry Christmas to one and all! May the holiday be filled with cheer, joy, and all the things you love. -M

Yeah, Kurt ( Cei-U!), thanks for once again organizing and getting the whole thing going. As usual, it was great fun seeing everyone's entries and reading their comments and so forth.

Thanks from me as well, Kurt.
With both my younger boys home from college I don’t have time to do much but jump on on my phone, which is not conducive to long posts or images. So number one will likely show up Monday. It should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention.

Thanks from me, too. I expected esoteric choices, but there’s esoteric and then there’s estoeric. Hadn’t even heard of some choices, so that was a nice surprise.

Well now you're just showing that you haven't been paying attention. His no. 1 choice has been pretty obvious all along...

Relevant to our topic, I just saw this article about the best non-Marvel/DC relationships in comics (though one is a Vertigo book). Jeff Smith (of Bone) posted the link in his feed. Most are a little too recent for classic, but several of them appeared in our variouslists over the course of the event. -M

We still haven't gotten the official wrap up for last years CCC.

I think depends on how much time Kurt has. However, I just realized that we didn't do a 'near misses' thread this year.

I think depends on how much time Kurt has. However, I just realized that we didn't do a 'near misses' thread this year. Yeah, I really have to wrap up Chapter 1 before I can get back to CCC. If someone else wants to start the Near Misses thread, I'm totally down wih that.
Cei-U! I summon the unavoidable delay!

(...) I would, but the 'Create thread' button doesn't appear for me in this section.
