Selfie with Karen Gillan is kind of funny. I never heard of Selfie, but I love Karen Gillan. My favorite Dr. Who companion.
I'll have to find out what Selfie is and give it a try.

I'm watching Gotham on On Demand right now. It's OK. I think they overdid it a little with the "villain" cameos. But I guess that's what this show is all about.
Still, it's like something like The Muppet Babies, where it turns out the cast of The Muppet Show have all known each other since they were babies. Only, it's not the Muppet Show. It's the Batman mythology.
I'm just going to accept this and hope they don't overload it with too much stuff you have to "accept" if you want to enjoy it.

I'm expecting a deli owner's son named Zsasz, a teenage ventriloquist, a young hatmaker named Jervis.
Will the Graysons show up soon? How about the Todds?

I haven't checked out Gotham yet, but I will. No comments on Agents of Shield?
I thought they did a great job on Absorbing Man... Lucy Lawless' character and crew were pretty meh, and Ward suddenly being all friendly is very intriguing indeed.
Overall, a pretty good start to season two, though I don't get why Skye is suddenly a fantastic field agent, that really bugs me.

It was by no means great and I may have been completely enamored by how attractive she is but I'll definitely check out a couple more episodes. I thought it was funny they advertised the male lead as "Star Trek's John Cho" as if Harold & Kumar didn't put him on the map. I haven't checked out Gotham yet, but I will. They were definitely able to keep up the momentum from last season and the Winter Soldier tie-in.

The series premiere of black-ish on ABC was decent. Anthony Anderson gives a pretty good performance and the more Laurence Fishburne on TV the better. The new season of Southpark is off to a great start. They did the same with Karen Gilliam... they said she was from 'Guardians of the Galaxy', rather than Doctor Who. I didn't even notice that.

Absorbing Man looked great, and the part with the ball & chain from the railing made me geek out. Of course, I had to explain to my wife why I was squealing like one of our daughters when a new "My Little Pony" comic comes out, but that happens about once per episode with this show. I don't think Ward was being friendly. He's shown himself to be a master manipulator, so he's trying to get what he wants, and they've written it that he's obsessed with Skye (for whatever reason). If he can trade intel so that he can get time with her, that's what he's going to do. The part with Fitz was pretty depressing but also intriguing. Since he really isn't an asset to the team any more, I'm wondering if he'll wind up going full-bore crazy villain against them.

I enjoyed the premier of SHIELD. Definitely kept up the heightened pace from the last third of season 1 which is good. It feels like they can finally stretch their legs now that the Winter Soldier reveals are done.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Gotham was overdoing it a bit. It seems a bit forced putting all of the villains into the very first episode like that. I think most of the casting is pretty good, though. I understand they had to do the Wayne's murder scene like every single iteration of Batman, and it was thankfully brief, but man, the setup of the scene didn't work for me. It was waaaay too bright and well-lit. Didn't seem dangerous at all. My wife and I will probably keep watching to give it a chance, but I hope it gets a little better once it gets its legs under it.

Checked Gotham though it was a good job of interweaving classic characters of Batman into his own origins(although some thin it's a bit over done)...there is definitely some great potential for this show as long as people realize it's not going to follow the comic history 100%.
Agents of SHIELD slow start but if anything like last season it will pick up steam as they go along. Liked the take on Absorbing Man.
Can't wait to check out Arrow's season premiere and Flash. As Constantine as well.
This is definitely the Season of Super Heroes on Prime Time TV.

I thought GOTHAM was done in a very professional manner, but I'm still pretty hazy about how the producers can do a "Batman mythos" show without Batman. I guess the ordinary cops like Gordon and Bullock are going to be taking down the bad guys at a time when they haven't yet developed their personas, though said cops didn't do too well against ordinary crooks in the opener. By contrast, after watching the first ep of ARROW, I had a pretty good idea what issues were at stake. Here, it's like-- OK, Gotham's bad, it really needs a champion, but it has to wait over ten years. I'm wondering how often a bad guy will even get busted? Look at how many seasons the same guy has been evading capture in The Following. Multiply that by however many bad guys they feature in Gotham. Ah, yes. Who here remembers the days when "done in one" stories in all media were careful to show criminals being punished for their crimes one way or another, with the idea of setting a good example for the kiddies? Much as I like all the good stuff about capitalism, the idea of the crooks ALWAYS getting away to fight another day strikes me as something that came about out of the producers' desire to keep evil viable at all times to keep the viewer unsettled-- so that, in theory, he will keep buying the franchise. I'm not gonna say there's no good manifestations of this trend, but a whole lotta them are pretty meretricious

Recently I've watching the Blacklist on Netflix, and I have to say, aside from a somewhat bumpy start, it really picks up and invests you into the characters of the show after a few episodes in.
I liked the Killing on Netflix, though it is a far more dark, brooding show than I'm used, it was filled with quality story-telling (albeit, it relies on cliff-hangers more often than it should.)

Extant wrapped up last week on CBS. This was a good sf show. It took a couple of(or three , or more...) different SF concepts and explored them reasonably intelligently. It was well- and tightly plotted and came to a satisfying conclusion. While still leaving it open to tell another story next year... no word yet if that will happen.

I'm an Arrow Fan, and I just can't wait for the Flash and Constantine to show up and this has been a resurgence of Superhero-Type Shows like you never, ever seen before. I have a funny feeling that there will be 4-6 (and possibly more) running on our Cable Airwaves in a few years from now. Amazing!
