Watched Gotham the other night not bad . Any one watch Forever ? Kinda enjoyed first two episodes . Also Big bang season opener wasn't to bad . My wife suggested we watch Forever the other night, so we caught the pilot episode on On Demand. I'm a fan of Ioan Gruffudd (from his non- Fantastic Four work), so I was willing to give it a shot. It wasn't bad, so I think we might start watching it regularly, although I'm not sure it will have a long shelf life, as most Americans don't have a brain for high-concept shows. For the life of me, I can't figure out how NCIS is the #1-rated show on TV and NCIS: New Orleans is the #1-rated new show, as I don't know of a single person who has ever watched an episode of either of those, but hey, to each his own. Really excited about the season 10 opener for Supernatural tonight. I wrote down my theory about how the season is going to play out and how it will all end and put it in an envelope in my desk at home to see if I am right at the end of the year.

Almost time for Flash. Hopefully, this one has the budget for a few more rogues than the 1990 version.

I catch a few minutes of Forever when it's on after Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but I can't get into it. Forever seems to be a ripoff of that show New Amsterdam, which was pretty good but I don't need to see it again.
S.H.I.E.L.D. had a pretty good story tonight, but I have some of the same concerns about the motivations they're giving Simmons.
Meanwhile on Wednesdays, The Goldbergs is really must-see viewing for comics fans of a certain age.
And South Park has had two B+ episodes so far this run. It's such a timely show, it's really worth watching the week it premieres rather than waiting. They appear to be experimenting with more of a continuing narrative this season (no reset-to-zero) which could be interesting.
And premiering this Wednesday is American Horror Story: Freak Show. So get ready for beautiful visuals, audacious happenings, half-developed tangents, abandoned plot threads, great acting, and eventual narrative collapse.

I'm watching Sons of Anarchy. This show is the dumbest thing.

Saw a little bit of Flash tonight before my son called. It looked ok. I'll see the re-run online and go from there. I think the Rogues will turn out well.

Since my cousin is "living" with me for a week, I'm spectating the drama-filled, ignorance that is MTV's Awkward. It is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen (on TV, I should clarify, some real-life dumb records have beaten this by light years the past couple of days.)
Or maybe it's "Faking it," it's all the same garbage.

After two episodes I can't decide if I like Selfie or just Karen Gillan.

After two episodes I can't decide if I like Selfie or just Karen Gillan. She's certainly the only reason I might check it out.

Oh she's definitely the only reason I'm giving it a chance.

Forever seems to be a ripoff of that show New Amsterdam, which was pretty good but I don't need to see it again. Interestingly enough, both New Amsterdam and Forever are complete rip-offs of a novel named Forever by an author named Pete Hamill. Somehow, the creators of Forever are claiming that they were completely unaware of the novel of the same name and same premise, even though Hamill made a fairly big stink in 2008 when New Amsterdam ripped him off originally. I've been watching Forever for reasons that escape me. I think the premise, the actors and the characters are all more interesting than the actual show. They're stuck in service to another dopey network procedural. This week's episode in particular barely made any sense, and if a cop actually did half the stuff they do every week, that cop would be fired on the spot. At the least, just about every one of these cases would be thrown out of court for inadmissible evidence.

One of my favorite songs is David Bowie's Life on Mars. Jessica Lange performed it last night on American Horror Story: Freak Show, and it was fantastic.
