If you’re a sci-fi junkie and you’re still not watching ‘The Expanse’, then there’s something wrong with you.
Yet another amazing season so far

If you’re a sci-fi junkie and you’re still not watching ‘The Expanse’, then there’s something wrong with you. Yet another amazing season so far I've only watched the first two seasons, but it's really an amazing show. Probably too high brow for the general public, but brilliant for science-fiction fans. I was floored by the show's depiction of a space battles, what with bullets punching holes in the hull and leaving little gobs of molten metal in their wake... slowed down by the air but still floating due to the lack of gravity. A SF show where gravity actually works... don't pinch me, I don't want to wake up!!! I love how the actors playing Belters seemed (at least initially) to all be lanky and thin; just the kind of phenotype one would expect for people living in a low-gravity environment. Belters having their own dialect is also an awesome improvement over the "everyone in the universe speaks English" meme.

I need to catch up on Expanse. I think I had just started the third season when I got pulled into other things. Maybe once I finish re-watching Millionaire Detective. Is this the last season or is there one more?

After a long day at work, I was really craving some wrestling, so I re-subbed to WWE Network and watched some Smackdown from 2003
As I've said before, I'm a huge fan of the Ruthless Aggression era of WWE (2002-2005/6) and the episode I watched (Jan 02) didn't disappoint
I think my favorite match was between Charlie Haas/Shelton Benjamin and Chris Benoit/Edge
The marriage between Don Marie and Torrie Wilson's father Al was good for a laugh
Can also see why so many loathed Cena in his early days, he comes off as total dickweed

Just got done with the first two episodes of Craig McCracken's (Power Puff Girls/Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends) new show, Kid Cosmic and it's pretty fun. It focuses on a kid who lives in a junkyard who somehow gets his hands on five powerful stones from an alien ship and uses them to ward off evil. Has a very big throwback vibe

Watched The Expanse S05. Better than the last one and hopefully a return to the stunning visuals the protomolecule provided in the early ones. Sounds like S06 will be the last one.

Watching some of the Muppet Show and Dinosaurs on Disney Plus, forgot how much I loved the pair of them I think the best part about the Muppet Show is that you actually understand what the Swedish Chef is saying when you turn on subtitles

Muppet Show is all kinds of awesome... and, having watched that clip, I'm reminded that Rita Moreno is all kinds of awesome, too.

Finally getting around to watching Queen's Gambit. Half-way through and very impressed. Excellent period drama. Definitely lives up to the hype.

And yet, it has a seemingly false premise: perfect, machine-like chess isn't a draw.

Just discovered the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series on Prime (possibly Brit Box or Acorn), and while I have only watched about half of the first episode (I started it far too late) I must say I believe I’m going to love it.

I see there's a six-part series on the Sky History channel called Secret History Of Comics. I've missed the first two episodes, but I was gonna record episode 3. Anyone seen this series? Is it any good?

Is it any good? Is that the one Robert Kirkman was involved with? If so it was decent but not spectacular. Worth the watch, but not going to really offer anything new to someone conversant in the history of comics already. -M

I'll likely still check out an episode and see what it's like.
