#2 - Vision and Scarlet Witch...This is the real beauty of their romance, and their true fate for me will always be What If #38 that explores what happens if they DID live happily ever after (unlike the travesty of creative direction that came later), but then face the prospect of Wanda aging naturally but the Vision is unchanged. It is hands down the best Vision and Scarlet Witch story I have ever read and has an incredible ending. For me too! That story always makes me tear up.

2. Maggie and Hopey.
As with Barda and Mr. Miracle, not much to add to what has been expressed so eloquently by others already this year. They are simply the heart and soul of one half, Jaime's, of probably the greatest ongoing comic of the last 40 years, the Hernandez brothers' Love and Rockets. Almost everything in Jaime's fictional universe connects back with themin one way or another, even when they themselves arent the lead characters.
Edit: lost some meandering paragraphs thati tried to finish this post with last night so prrhaps I'll leave it at that. .

#2 Scarlet Witch and VisionAs I have mentioned many times, Wanda has always been my favorite Marvel character, so I was glad when it became apparent that Roy Thomas planned a Wanda-Vizh romance, in Avengers #81; I figured she'd now be getting more screen time! But the romance didn't really come to the forefront until #91 when Wanda admitted her feelings for him and he said "It must not be!" This was just the start of years of a lot of drama and angst; Wanda and Vizh were very attracted to one another but they faced numerous hurdles and complications, both internally and externally. Just the type of story I like to read; their tortured love had me hooked! At the time I stopped reading comics, around the time of Avengers #106, the two still hadn't gotten together...so a few years ago I had a lot of fun catching up with Wanda & Vizh, thanks to back issues, trades, etc. I don't have much to add to what Supercat so beautifully noted about the enduring appeal of this couple (page 1 of this thread), except to say if you haven't read that What If?#38 story he mentioned do yourself a favor and read it! You won't stop crying.
