The cinematography looks incredible. And I hope Angela Bassett gets more screen time. That's an A++ actress you don't want to waste.

That looks utterly fantastic and epic in scale.

I know I’m not alone in this, but I miss Chadwick Boseman. I’m not sure I’ll be able to get into this, I’m sad that his time as Black Panther was short.
Sorry if that sounds egotistical.

Well, the trailer certainly pays tribute and the film appears to, on the surface of what you see there. That, to me, addresses the issue, honors the man and allows the story to progress in a logical fashion. If that impression is correct, well, you certainly couldn't ask for more than that.

I didn't think the unavoidable sequel could work, because (a) having T'Challa being busy elsewhere was kind of silly, and b) having T'Challa dead was very depressing.
This trailer goes a long way to show that I may have been wrong, wrong, wrong. Our real-world grief over the loss of Chadwick Boseman, reflecting the characters' grief over the loss of T'Challa, will even make this even more poignant.
It doesn't hurt that there are really fine actresses and actors among the cast.

Looks excellent to me.
So with Namor showing up, who is the biggest Marvel character (leaving aside members of the FF who will be upcoming) that hasn't been in an MCU movie?
And the X-Men probably aren't available...though we did see one of them. So of characters who are available.
Wonder man? Maybe.

Don't know if he's the biggest name, but he's had 5 solo series with Marvel over the years, the only Lee-Kirby creation who had a solo not to appear in the movies or TV...Ka-Zar. -M

That''s in fact quite surprising, because the recipe "Dinosaurs + Environmental message + Half-naked beautiful people + married couple comedy" sounds like just what Hollywood would jump on.
Maybe the name recognition (or lack thereof, in this case) didn't warrant an earlier exploration of the concept, but now that we're reaching the end of the obvious choices Ka-Zar and Shanna might get their chance. There may even be a Wakanda tie-in, what with Vibranium and all...

Feels like a no-brainer for for a Disney+ show except I'd expect that the budget would be too high.

I’d argue it’s Ghost Rider, since Kevin Feige seems damned and determined to not allow Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D to be considered canon, much like the Inhumans as well.

I'd lump GR with FF and X-Men in that while there hasn't been an official MCU version, there has been 2 big screen movies plus a TV appearance that's been out there, so the MCU has to wait until the time is right before bringing it in. I might expect a GR cameo or mention in some kind of post-credit scene in Blade setting up something like a Midnight Sons project since Marvel games and comics are pushing that big this year. -M

I think there is a good chance that after Guardians of the Galaxy concludes, one of those two characters will continue to the cosmic angle for the MCU. I'd put my money on Nova since we already saw Xandar. Hopefully it's Richard Rider, but there's probably more than a good chance it would be Sam Alexander. Not a fan of that, but at least Nova would be around.
