Not actual comics, but I just ordered all the issues of Back Issue I didn't already have and renewed my subscription thanks to the current sale TwoMorrows is running. Ended up making the cost of the subscription less than half of regular price thank to how much I "saved" on the individual issues.

I took advantage of Midtown Comic's holiday discount to order some comics from the last year and a half (or so) that I missed. Providence #9 and #11, Catwoman #48 and #49, Wonder Woman Annual #1 (New 52). And I also got a couple of old comics: The Brave and the Bold #117! Lots of reprints! Not just 1950s Golden Arrow, but some weird stuff. 1960s Blackhawk. The Secret Six. The Viking Prince. And Batman #341. I have every issue of Detective Comics from this era, but I'm still working on Batman. I think I'm now only missing one issue from #339 to #400.

I'm sure you can find those issues pretty cheap. I know I see them every so often in dollar bins.

Picked up this book the other day for a good price. Only 21 more to go to complete the series. Love that cover! Classic Kane. A friend of mine always points out how the spider is missing from his back on the drawing though.

Yeah I love all 3 covers to this 3-parter.

Usagi Yojimbo saga, vol. 1 and 2.
1300 pages of Stan Sakai's famous odyssey, which I discover for the first time.
Just flipping through it, I love what I'm seeing... stark black and white art, without grey tones, and everything done by just one person. Very impressive, and very nice to look at! I look forward to diving into the story.

Wow! Nice pick ups there, bry914. It was listed for $45 "buy it now" price but I made a "best offer" for $30 and was surprised when the seller accepted my offer.

Picked up Straczynski's run on Spider-Man #30-39, including the black cover which seems to always be priced high, for $30 for the set. Have never read any of this arc so I will see how it goes.

I loved Straczynski's run on ASM...it's one of my all-time favourite runs of the entire series, up there with other post-Silver Age classic runs like Roger Stern's. You did well with that price if it included the 9/11 issue. Actually, that 9/11 issue was rubbish and really winds me up, but you can't argue with the sentiment of it. That particular issue aside though, all of Straczynski's run, up until the One More Day clusterf**k, is well worth your time reading -- including the controversial Sins Past story line (don't tell coke & comics I said that though ) Although, if you've only got up to issue #39 (#480), you won't come anywhere near to Sins Past.

Yes $3 a book including that issue. So far I am liking what I have read.
