My love for Cerebus has finally overcome my hatred of Todd McFarlane. I have purchased Spawn #10This leaves exactly two Cerebus appearances ever published that I don't yet own. The animated series plates, and the cover of Images of Omaha the Cat Dancer #2, both of which are always going for more money than I'm willing to pay.

Damn thats funny...I loved Cerebus back in the 80s...hmmm Church and State I think is where I was reading it. Nice buy, this was mentioned in that Neil Gaiman/Todd M courtcase transcript thread and I was curious how the 4 issues looked.

I'm glad to hear that. I paid a little more than I would have liked, but neither Midtown or MyComicShop had the third issue so when I saw all three for sale I decided to jump on it.

I still have my copy of it (just have this one and #9 left) and would have gladly sent it to you. Enjoy!

Do digital comics count as "purchased"?
I don't buy digital comics often, but I have bought some older comics digitally (Flash #123 and Wonder Woman #6 (first Cheetah)) because they had stories I've been wanting to read for years and the digital experience (despite the drawbacks) seemed a very cost-effective way to read some comics I might not see for years otherwise.
So tonight I bought digital versions of Justice League of America #195, #196 and #197, with the Secret Society of Super-Villains. I like this line-up of villains, especially the Debbie Domaine version of the Cheetah, who I find hi-larious!
I think I'll try to read the first issue before I go to bed.

Man, do I not remember anything about the Spawn/Cerebus issue. I seem to recall it being a pretty heavy handed allegory about creator rights. They visit some kind of purgatory where all the famous comic book characters are locked in prisons for an eternity of torment. Or some crap like that.

I kind of want that X-Men Visionaries book, but if it's the same thing that's already collected in the Masterworks, then nevermind. But, still! Any Neal Adams is great too look at. ALSO!! My Futurians book arrived today!! That's pretty fast for buying it from a third party on Amazon.

And Cerebus walking down a staircase. (In a tuxedo, I believe.)

Any Neal Adams is great too look at. it collects all of the Neal Adams Roy Thomas run from the X-men collaboration. I had only ever read 2 issues from that run. I'm hoping that it's worth the wait.
