Went on a (Canadian) dollar box ramble (okay a few were two dollar box) and found the following... some were on my wanted, some not, but a good scoop of the period for Marvel hopefully while passing over any multi-issue or crossover arcs.
Avengers 341 & 342, 349 & 350 Captain America 355 & 356, 363 & 364, 409 & 410 Fantastic Four 325, 345-347 Thor 431, 441-444, 447-450 West Coast Avengers 50, 71-74
I'm thinking there is a skrull lady in the FF and that Thor might be Eric Masterson, so I'm not entirely clueless about this era (I hope). I know who D-man and Diamondback are from those Capwolf comics that started me off down this road to reading. I don't think any of these have the hyper muscles or giant fantasy guns (or multiple pouches), can't complain too much at below cover price on many... I guess this is all from that speculator boom era where there are boxes of thousands unread in storage somewhere of every comic, 1989-1992.
Darn, forgot to check for Iron Man. Oh well, maybe another time when pennies aren't pinched so tight.

This arrived today-I have now completed all of the Silver Age Hawkman series that I can comfortably afford (no #1 or 4 or B&B #34; everything else). -M

That's about what the Hawkman #2 I had looked like. I had two copies of #4, one in this sort of shape and then when I found a better copy I had to get it as it was one of my favorite '60s covers (did the same with Mystery In Space #90). It was either in #2 or #4 where Murphy Anderson does the absolutely worst looking poodle dog though... I think of that as his Achilles heel as he was otherwise a favorite artist going back to Planet Comics.
Now that I have that late '80s collection of all the Kubert B&B Hawkmans, is there a similar color Anderson Hawkman volume with the Mystery In Space appearances? In other words not the B&W Showcase series. I really don't know my way around tpbs.

I was able to get B&B #35 because I picked up a copy with a $30 price tag, which I wasn't going to pay. When I turned it over, there was a chunk missing from the back cover, so the seller said "Oh. Five bucks."

I actually ordered these a couple of days before the news that Corben had passed away. Not being able to go to comic shows most of the year, I got an itch and decided to browse eBay for some undergrounds, even if it meant paying more than my usual $5 max. Always felt bad I never got Rowlf and found both printings for a good price.

Hockey is the glue that holds Canada together.
Even Tim Horton was a hockey player.
