I never read a Jerry Lewis comic , but these three were a buck each. Had to try them. Of the 3 Shadow comics, I always thought that # 2 was a great issue. I'm glad to find it.

3 Girls: Their Lives, Their Loves is an ongoing soap opera. You're going to get hooked and then you'll have to get all the rest of the run!

Three romance comics. I blame Crimebuster for these purchases
Issue #110 (middle book) has a Jay Scott Pike cover... probably my favorite romance artist-- tied with Romita Sr. and Matt Baker... 3-way tie for #1 for me.

Went to my lcs today for FCBD and they were having a flat 25% off everything in the shop so I picked up a small stack of back issues... a passel of Groo back issues, 1 Pacific issue, 3 Image issues, the rest from the Marvel/Epic run... a handful of Scooby Doo from various publishers... and a pair of war comics... -M

My favorite local shop had a big sale today in conjunction with FCBD... 60% off all back issues! I think y'all know me by now, and that's like telling a junkie that heroin is "60% off" today. Sooooo... away we go!
First up is a Captain Hero #1, and another issue of the hard-to-find Sarge Steel... along with a couple of issues of Archie's Mad House...
Next, a very nice copy of Daredevil #8-- Now I just need four issues to complete the entire run. Also, a Kirby-covered Strange Tales issue, along with a couple of classic Marvel reprint issues.
Next, some Spidey goodness in the form of Marvel Tales, plus the 2nd & 3rd appearances of Cloak & Dagger...
Some various Action and Adventure issues on my list...
Got a really good deal on these classic Atom issues...
Next up is a couple of Batman Family issues, including the last issue, as well as a DC Special Series Swamp Thing issue, and finally, a very nice copy of Doom Patrol #93
Some G.I. Combat issues crossed off my list-- including an early 70's 25-center, two Dollar issues, and a great copy of issue #101 with a Grey-tone cover...
My other major pickup of the day besides the Daredevil issue, is the final issue of My Greatest Adventure-- this one is absolutely gorgeous. Also picked up two more Phantom Stranger issues, these with Neal Adams covers... I now only need issue #3 to complete the run. And I couldn't resist the Sherlock Holmes one-shot!
On to the Deadman run in Strange Adventures-- two more issues, now I need 4 to complete the Deadman run in that title. I also racked up on Superboy issues...
I REALLY racked up on the Neal Adams Superboy covers...
More Neal Adams covers, and an issue of Weird War Tales...
Another issue of WWT, plus I scored a TON of post-Jonah Hex Weird Western issues featuring Scalphunter... including his first appearance in issue #39.
More Weird Western...
even more...
Last of the Weird Western Tales... I think I now need about a dozen issues to complete the series. Also got several issues of World's Finest in the Dollar format.
Last of the bunch... I thought the last issue of World's Finest was an appropriate ending here.

Hit up a few comic book stores on my current trip, going to another one tomorrow. So far got a few cool things, but one in particular is an obvious standout despite the condition. tartanphantom thought you might appreciate this one.

My LCS got a pile of Savage Sword of Conan mags... the previous owner was clearly an Arnold fan (the run is nearly complete after the movie came out) but there were a few earlier ones as well... which I snagged, along with a few of the later ones to check out.
Just read the first one (one of 2 I was really excited to get... #21) and was amazed how much better the art was in the magazine format, as opposed to the Dark Horse phone book reprints I have.
It was great looking at RR's amazing review thread as well.. great icing on the cake.

Not the best era, but at least you'll get some issues before Gary Kwapisz.

Is the #2 you got the 35 cent test variant? They are pretty rare and pretty pricey. I have both #1 and #2 in the 35 cent test price variants, and I am contemplating finding the regular versions so I can sell them while the market is still peaking. -M
