There was a thread in this forum that is now largely defunct, that was an exchange of comics by the members. I have sent books to people and have had some sent to me. It was only a few participants, so I guess that it lapsed. There were also members that we’re just takers and never sent anything forward. I was JUST thinking last week about that trading thread. I did a few trade back in the days and loved it. I'll post a big list of stuff i don't want anymore and see what will happen!

I saw it confirmed that Taylor Swift is Not in the Deadpool movie. Now I can track the missing Dazzler issues down. On purpose? Welcome back to the fight Slam, and this time I know our side will win.

I wasn't expecting to get a bunch of back issues so soon after going to Jim & Dan's, but on my trip into Yellow Springs today to my lcs, I stopped in Dark Star Books to check for a couple of books for Mrs. MRP and they had just restocked their quarter bins and dollar bins. The only thing better than 3/$1 comics are 4/$1 comics. So I dug through boxes of both $1 and 25 cent books. I also found 2 of the REH adaptations in Marvel Horror books I was looking for. Dark Star was running 25% off back issues and I found a copy of Journey into Mystery #1 adapting Dig Me No Grave there. It was the only non-dollar bin/quarter bin book I got there. I found Chamber of Chills #3 at my lcs. It was a little more but I did get my 15% subscriber discount. I just need to find a Chamber of Chills #2 now. Ok so some quarter bin books... and then the $1 books, they had 2 copies of Heavy Metal in their dollar bin, one had one of the Arzach galleries including Joe Kubert's contribution to it, so I was very happy to find that (I got a few other Kubert books there today as well). They also had the first 2 volumes of Comics Revue's Modesty Blaise collections for a buck each too... There were 3 Kubert cover DC war books in the dollar bins, plus an Our Fighting Forces without a Kubert cover (Frank Thorne instead), the consolation prize was a John Severin lead story in the issue... I got a bunch of $1 Bronze Avengers and a Kirby Cap, some of these were in my childhood collection so they knock a few off that list. and the rest are misc. DC books for a dollar, some Silver, Bronze and more recent stuff...I was very happy to find the Swordquest mini comic #2 with Perez art. They had a #1 as well, but I already had a copy of that. I just need to find a #3 somewhere now. I don't expect to go anywhere else to hunt comics for a while... -M

The Heavy Metal on the lower left has a great little 7-page Doc Stearn...Mr. Monster story in it, scripted by Gilbert but painted by Simon Bisley. Love Michael T. Gilbert!

Picked up both of these for £1 in a charity shop yesterday: Quite looking forward to this, I've read bit of Tank Girl over the years, but not that much considering how popular the character used to be.

These 1978 British Spideys look like they just came out of the sweet shop in London. Got them for less than the price of current issues and they're a nostalgia blast for me as we had boxes of them back home.

Nice Spidey books. Man, I’d love to get those Mexican Spidey books where Gwen lives.

Some of those covers look like Sal Buscema, or maybe imitators.

Some of those covers look like Sal Buscema, or maybe imitators. They are all beautiful, and nicely designed. I really like the clean masthead and graphic design. And EVERY ONE has a big clear image of Spidey, doing classic Spidey stuff!

Full set Windy and Willy 1-4
I reeled in this as a *spare* set because I got it for a really good price. #1-#3 just needs a press and can safely go into VF/VF+ territory. #4 has a cover indent I can't do much about but will remain a reading copy as I already have a much nicer copy. The Bob Oksner cover art is simply fab!
FAQ. Why buy another set of books you already have, you greedy cow. Ans. So I can read it again, D-UH!

Turned all my loose change into a CoinStar and got an Amazon gift card, which I turned into the purchasing of The Batman Adventures Omnibus. What was $75 at Amazon turned into a $7 transation. But what's not to love about the Batman Adventures. It was the best Bat book in the 90s. The best artists, the stories and one of the most iconic Bat stories in the past 30 years. Can't recommend this enough

That cover on the far right... I have always thought it was one of the best composed covers ever. Like a bikini girl version of the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima.
