I did my Top 5 for another site, so I'll repeat them here. In no specific order (some came out in singles in 2021, but I only read the trade this year) and I'm only listing new series/OGN, no continuation of earlier series:
1. Meccano - Poppy by Hanco Kolk. 2. Antananarivo by Mark Eacersall and Sylvain Vallée. 3. X-men Red by Al Ewing and Stefano Casseli. 4. Decorum by Jonathan Hickman and Mike Huddleston. 5. The Nice House on the Lake by James Tynion IV and Alvaro Martinez Bueno.

I haven't read as many new comics in 2022 but some faves:
Reckless Friday DC Horror Presents Sgt Rock vs The Army of The Dead The All-Nighter

I got into comics during 2022 after seeing that I could buy some cheap at a used book store nearby. I wasnt jumping in completely blind because i always used to watch people summarize comics and events. I picked up 10 random comics that had a visually appealing cover (Judging a book by its cover is never bad if its a comic book). The one that most stuck out to me was action comics superman. I collected the whole WarWorld Saga and loved it. I went to seattle last christmas and at a comic shop I found every WarWorld Saga comic I needed for my collection there.

Now this feels like a challenge. Is there already a thread for great covers/bad comics?

The Warworld story was definitely really good.. first time I bought the book regularly in a while... I feel like it might have overlaped 2022 and 2023, or maybe I just didn't think of it at the time, but deifnitely worth being on the list!
