FYI, the Sons of the Serpent would not have been eligible.

FYI, the Sons of the Serpent would not have been eligible. Cei-U! I summon the snakebite kit! Hey Kurt, why were the Beagle boys eligible, aren't they clones of each other? I'd assume since they are dogs, it's not clones but a litter of individual puppies born who grew up rotten. Dogs of the same litter often look alike but are separate individuals and each Beagle Boy has their own ID (a number) and most have some sort of distinctive personality quirk. But it's up to Kurt (and others) who have read far more Beagle Boys stories than I did. -M

My near-misses: White Rabbit and WalrusThis pairing was actually on my final list until Confessor did his excellent write-up on Day 3 and reminded me that they had only actually been a team for a single issue. For some reason, I had thought they had teamed up a few times (possibly I was subconsciously adding Walrus to White Rabbit's 'gang' of Mad Hatter and Dormouse, who are actually out-of=work actors). Given I already had the Lewis Caroll themed Wonderland Gang on my list, I reluctantly gave this this team the heave-ho, despite how much i love white Rabbit. The HeadmanI do like the visual of this team, but I ultimately I realised I was considering them because I didn't have a Marvel team on my list, and that seemed a poor reason to include them. I was happy to see them on other people's lists. The Kravinoff FamilyThis probably the Marvel team that was closest to making my list. Kraven is my favourite Spidey villain, and some of the extended family members introduced since his 'death' have done a good job of keeping his legacy alive. However, IMO the best stories involving the family as a whole--and especially Sasha and Ana--have occurred within the last decade so were too recent. The Injustice Society of the WorldAs I said in my write-up for Day 7, I though the Injustice Society would be appearing on my list, but when I tried to decide which incarnation of the team to use, I realised that my favourite version wasn't actually the Injustice Society at all, but Injustice Unlimited, from Infinity, Inc.The Gambler II and the Royal Flush GangPairing the Gambler and the Royal flush Gang is a natural, and this was a fun two-part story, but it didn't have the weirdness factor of the Terra-Man/Penguin team-up, and I'd already included the Gambler's cousin Hazard as part of Injustice Unlimited, so this got shuffled out. Batman #400Another collection of Bat-foes, this one missed out only because I already had the similarly themed Detective Comics #526 on my list.
