I saw this movie on streaming yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Many of the critiques are valid but It was a fun time. I thought that 3 of the characters at various times were going to die, seeing as this was the final chapter, but I'm glad they didn't. My only beef was that they missed a great opportunity to have Warlock wounded and form a cocoon to repair and emerge with a more mature personality . He was like a kid during the entire movie. I agree with some of you in that this is the best MCU movie I've seen in a long while. Maybe the only really good one since Avengers: Endgame.

I finally saw this movie and I loved it! The scenes surrounding Rocket's past were really heartbreaking, I was struggling to keep it dry during the more tragic scenes.
To me, it's fascinating how the first movie started out fairly well-rooted in the Abnett/Lanning GotG series, while taking some pretty big liberties with the character's back stories, but then over the course of 3 movies and some guest appearances, these characters grew into their own beings entirely and it all felt natural. I'm amazed at Gunn's ability to balance silliness with high-octane action and tugging on the heartstrings. Really great stuff.
