Getting some books together and an excel spreadsheet. If all goes well I'll be selling about 800 comics this weekend. About 1/3 are already reserved. First time I ever moved 800 books in less than 5 hours.

I'm preparing for work this week. I don't work full time. I really only work about 16 hours a week. And although it's barely enough to scrape by, I'm comfortable with it. Especially in the summer since I work outside. Anyway, this week is going to be full time with about 50 hours of commute on top of that. I'll be waking up at 3am every day, eating three meals on the road all week. So I'm not looking forward to it. But the money aught to make me comfortable for the next two months so it needs to be done.

Finishing up my office refit. Just have a few minor finishing touches to do, and the room will be done. Then it's on to the comic room refit. Too many dominoes set in motion when my wife decided to rearrange the rest of the house....but my stuff is finally starting to come together.

I'm watching an interview with Isaac Asimov. It was conducted when Foundations Edge had been published, so 1982. And he just essentially described the internet and cell phone service. And his Encyclopedia Galactica is basically Wikipedia, isn't it? (Only with crappier contributors occasionally).

I should put this in the book thread, but how good are all those Foundation prequels or sequels or whatever they are? I read the original trilogy as a teenager but never got around to the ones Asimov wrote later on. The only one that I would recommend beyond the original trilogy is Foundation's Edge. It was a pretty fine book, as was Robots of Dawn. Beyond that Asimov started combining the Foundation, the Robot and the Galactic Empire books and it all read like fan-fic to me. Though there are definitely people who like them and they seem pretty popular on sites like Goodreads. I would personally extend the "good" run to Foundation and Earth, because the final link between the Foundation and Robots series had been in the air. But for later works, yeah, fan-fic is the perfect word. Too much retconning, too many links made between too many characters, too many plot points from later books introduced too early in the continuity... the usual thing. Not unenjoyable, but certainly not classic. Kind of like Star Trek novels, but with Asimov characters.

Trying out two new pipe tobacco blends. The previous tobacco shop I went to was destroyed by the tornado earlier this year and hasn't reopened. Initial consensus, not as good as the previous blends. But still nice aroma for both of them.

Tried a new taco truck today. It was...okay. But not as good as my regular place. Ordered two carnitas, two azada and one adobada. Got two carnitas, two adobada and one Azada. Which was okay. The meat was all good...but nothing special. There are better places to get both carnitas and azada. The tortillas were homemade. But they were on the thick side. Like...really thick. So when they double tortilla'd each taco it was just too much.
I don't regret trying it...but likely won't be going back.

Preparing food for two football matches this evening starting in one our, while listening to audioclips of yesterday new releases (vinyls). Earlier I made some rocks explode with dynamite to build a "canyon" so water would run down the hill instead of staying around the house foundations when it pours rain.

Trying (do you have a 9 and 13 year old lol) to watch House (1977) based on what Hoosier X posted about it. I'm close to an hour since I started and about 10 minutes into the movie.
