I'm waiting outside TJmax for my wife to pick up a gift for her stepdad. I am so tired from the Christmas season delivering hundreds of parcels for the PO. I'll be glad at about 5pm tomorrow.

They have school today? I would need a bottle of wine to get through a day like yours. My Christmas cooking will be done tomorrow. And, like last year, I will probably spend my time reading comics as I wait on things to cook. They do have school today. I will be doing half my cooking tomorrow, making the cranberry relish and the cornbread and chorizo stuffing ahead of time. I don't drink wine, but there is definitely some rum and Dr. Pepper in my future. When I was till in public school, we always finished school by December 19th at the latest. I can't recall a year where we went until Christmas weekend.

Yeesh, I remember we used to get a 1/2 day for the 23rd or 24th and then the week off between Christmas and New Years and back on Jan 2 (unless it was a weekend). Of course I also taught at a university that ended at Thanksgiving and didn't come back until after MLK day. But then they started the first week of August for the fall semester, so it wasn't actually any shorter. -M

Just finished making cranberry relish, as well as browning chorizo and sweating down some mirepoix for my cornbread stuffing, for tomorrow night.
I'm going to wrap presents now, and after that, I'll make the cornbread. I love being in the kitchen!

Mr Jez was asked to work 2 shifts (engineer related) on site which is going to take him into the wee hours of Christmas morning. Big overtime but he wants to be with his family....so... ...I'm baking something especially for him and some of his mates and will take it personally in my Santa hat. He claims they get all jel...but I'm just being a good wife.

And I spent about 3-4 hours in it today. But I got to read some comics which made it better for me.

I could not manage reading and trying to actually cook at the same time. Someone would end up with some Spider-Man in their mostaccioli. lol!

Watching the Star Wars Holiday Special and getting ready to file a police report because someone in Miami (I live in Pittsburgh) ran up $6000 worth of charges on my card.

Just arrived at church (5:45 AM local time) We are having three services this morning and are serving breakfast with each of them, and as I'm a certified kitchen manager, I am taking the lead on the prep and cooking of the food. We've invited the comunity we're located in as well so, we're anticipating multiple hundreds of people.
