The question was about the Marvel universe, so how about some villains? Does Namor's imperiousness mask deep insecurity? Eddie Brock had an alarming obsession with Peter Parker.

On that subject, I always thought Dr. Doom would benefit greatly from a few sessions with an analyst. Were it not for Victor's blinding arrogance, he might realize that his ongoing pissing contest with Reed Richards makes him a slave to his own ego-driven need for validation and prevents him from actually living up to his potential. Instead of trying to blow up the Baxter Buliding or sending old girlfriends to Hell, he could cure cancer or develop cold fusion. Paradoxically enough, that would show Reed Richards what's what! |

I lost track of Ms. Marvel after she became Binary (body) and was fused with Rogue (personality). As I recall, the body regained its memories, but not the emotional attachment that came with them, and the personality stuck in Rogue kept popping up from time to time to assume dominance over her host. Did that ever get sorted out?
Rogue and the Ms. Marvel got split into two seperate bodies after going through the Siege Perilious. This was unstable though, so Magneto stabilized Rogue, but not the Ms. Marvel part. Rogue later lost the Ms. Marvel powers as well, but got more control over her own powers.
Space Carol got back to Earth, joined the Avengers. I don't think she ever recovered the emotional attachments of her previous memories, but just made new connections with people as time went by.
