One thing I like is that it sounds like a tv show theme song. Don't ask me what that implies musically, and maybe it's just that I already knew it was a theme song before I heard it, but it certainly strikes my ears that way. So now I wonder if Paul deliberately wrote it a certain way because it's a theme song or if it's all in my imagination.

And as Shax says, it was also done in a more deliberately tongue-in-cheek way than my usual output. I wanted it to sound up-beat, fun and hopefully capturing something of the spirit of the podcast. |
