I'm not really a happy music kind of guy, but the one that brings me almost to tears with its joyous optimism is "Mr. Blue Sky" by Electric Light Orchestra So that would certainly be no. 1 on my Happy Playlist. What else? "Still Alive" by GlaDOS and Jonathan Coulton "Beautiful World" by Devo "Tokyo Joe" by Bryan Ferry "The Morning Fog" by Kate Bush "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)" by Talking Heads "Rilkean Heart" by Cocteau Twins "Let the Mystery Be" by Iris DeMent "Let My Love Open the Door" by Pete Townshend
"Pyjamarama" by Roxy Music Well, that was a fun exercise. I feel better already, thanks! That was "our song", for my late wife, Barb and I. I had the later version, from the Grosse Pointe Blank soundtrack and played that while she was at my place, for dinner, when we were first dating, and I told her that I loved her, for the first time. I sang it and "Always on My Mind," to her, in the hospital, when she was dying. It's still "our song," but it mixes a wonderful memory with a bad one. Regardless, it so sums up our relationship.

I don't know about "happy," but this one gets my energy level up.......
(Ramrod, with Larry Collins and Joe Maphis...and a hell of a backing band!)
You had to nail that kind's feet in place to get him to stand still, when he was playing guitar!
