Please post the cover of a comic with cover date one month after that of the cover in the latest post. If a comic was bi-monthly or quarterly, you can use it for any of relevant months, but please state which month it's representing in your post. Choices will be very limited for the first couple of years, but things should improve after that. I'll start things off with: July 1934: Famous Funnies #1 Mike's Amazing World doesn't seem to have any comics cover dated August 1934, so please skip ahead to September, unless you know differently.

It must have been very disheartening to go to the drugstore with your dime to check out the comics and the only things on the spinner rack were Famous Funnies and Mickey Mouse Magazine.

It must have been very disheartening to go to the drugstore with your dime to check out the comics and the only things on the spinner rack were Famous Funnies and Mickey Mouse Magazine. Back in that period of time, readers probably benefited from not having the expectation of comic book diversity / expansion, so they could have been satisfied with the two titles...or just skip them.

Heck, kids back then were probably so exhausted after finishing a 10-hour shift at the textile mill that they were happy with pretty much anything.
