From No To HARLEY QUINN on GOTHAM Season One, Yes to 'Prenatal Origin Story for ROBIN' by Lucas Siegel, Site EditorDate: 19 November 2014 Time: 11:53 AM ET 50 0Reddit0Submit0 After Gotham star Ben McKenzie teased that “The Graysons may appear this season,” showrunner Bruno Heller has confirmed the appearance, in a bit of a goofy turn of phrase. “There’s an episode coming up where we learn how Robin’s [Dick Grayson’s] parents got together,” Heller told EW.com. “We’re going to do a prenatal origin story for Robin down the line. There are no MRIs involved.” Expect at least one pun of some sort about robins, birds, or flying. As far as other characters, Heller said they have “Harley Quinn definitely planned for later on,” but not in Season one. “That aspect of the show – which characters to use and when – is a source of constant discussion.” So who else will show up? The young “Poison” Ivy Pepper will be back soon, as will a girlfriend for The Riddler, and The Joker is still coming somehow down the line. As we reported earlier, Selina Kyle will be “leading a new friend on a perilous journey through Gotham” in the mid-season finale; perhaps that’s Ivy Pepper and not the speculated Bruce Wayne. We’ll see on November 24, 2014 and be watching out for the other characters when the series returns early 2015.
