Phantom Lady #1 (1954/5), the second series from Ajax-Farrell  For a mad scientist, that's not much of a chemistry set. In contrast to Phantom Lady, who seems to have a really nice set. I don't know, that woman that Pinky is menacing, above, kind of puts Phantom Lady on the rare "modest" side. |

What I'm saying is, if you look for example at his rack of test tubes and then look at her rack ... I mean, there's no comparison!

 Alter Ego #40 (Two Morrows, 2004, Bernie Wrightson) I was trying to think if this had ever been used as a comic cover but couldn't remember anything. Nice use of colour, just adding a tinge without overdoing it or spoiling the effect of Wrightson's fantastic line drawing. |

I believe it is one of the illustrations from Bernie Wrightson's illustrated version of Frankenstein. I don't know who did the colouring job, but is superbly subtle and gives the impression of a hand-tinted print from the early 1800s. |
