I have low expectations for the CSBG poll. And I voted when it was first posted.
Based on former CSBG polls, I'll be happy if one fairly decent writer polls ahead of Jeph Loeb.

Yeah. Unfortunately, can't imagine there's any reason to bother, given past results & the obvious predominance of slack-jawed, slope-browed idiots in the voting base.
Which, come to think of it, is one reason I don't bother to vote in general elections IRL, either.

I don't think it comes out so bad. The top writers will be Stan Lee and the British Invasion folks. Morrison, Moore, Gaiman, Ellis.
And the more votes, the better it comes out.

Jeph Loeb was #44 the last time they did this. That's not perfect but not absurdly high either. I also agree Sale is the key component of the team, but they have put out some good comics together.

I'm more specifically thinking of Best Batman Story polls and Best Storyline polls where something as contrived and mediocre as The Long Halloween ranks highly.
It's just not that good, folks.
I'd probably like it better if either:
A) I wasn't such a big fan of Raymond Chandler, or
B) Loeb wasn't so bad at trying to emulate Chandler's style.

The obvious takeaway from this discussion is that this forum should head over there and rock the vote!
I'll bet Dan Bailey wouldn't vote for Jeph Loeb!
I will confess Time Sale made my personal shortlist.

I'm not sure I could fill it out to my own satisfaction. I'd probably have to leave out some favourites, and that would bother me.

CBR is currently banned from utilizing my intellectual properties and expertice. Once the ban is lifted I'll reconsider sharing my opinions with them.
However this is CBR's 2nd ban and I have low expectations that Jonah will ever change

I doubt all those French and Belgian guys I just voted for will show up in the final results... If you do still cast your vote, please don't forget René Goscinny, who wrote countless classics like Asterix, Lucky Luke, Iznogoud etc etc.
