I have some manga style ones, they're called 'tankobons' and are convenient ways to read collections of Tomb Raider, Witchblade etc. My only grudge is the contents are printed in B&W....I do not have monochrome vision so it's annoying.

I've written about this comic before on CCF, but Captain Canuck #10 is my favorite single issue of a comic. I found it on the drug store spinner rack in a small town in rural eastern North Carolina, and it opened my eyes to comics outside of Marvel, DC, Archie, Harvey, etc. I thought the art and coloring were the most beautiful I had ever seen in a comic book. Wow, I'm not sure I knew that Captain Canuck was sold outside of Canada. I had a handful when I was very young (I remember them being available in 3 packs in department stores). They were weird af I think that's what appealed to me. They were weird in that they didn't seem to copy trends or even be inspired by Marvel or DC... the art was unique (before George Freeman ended up doing the Jack of Hearts for Marvel), the coloring looked like watercolors, the pacing, the backup story, the graphic design... all of it seemed so fresh to me. Even the story was a done-in-one, which was very unusual to me.
