It's a beautiful day and Fred and Sally are excited for their big deep sea diving adventure! And look, Donny the Dolphin is back from his business trip and going to join them!  Wait a minute, where did the boat go?  Aquaman, you scoundrel!! You know you don't need a boat.  |

Skeletor and Panthor were enjoying their weekly Korean barbecue inside Snake Mountain, when suddenly there was a loud thud coming from the outside.  ToeJam and Earl had accidently crashed their ship into Snake Mountain, and a "polite" disagreement ensues.  |

The music is now in my head and I feel a deep need to pull my Sega Genesis out of the closet. 2. How/why do you have a Korean BBQ backdrop?? |

Wasn't Toejam and Earl such a great game? So surreal and yeah, that Herbie Hancock inspired soundtrack was stellar, I have it loaded on my iPod actually. I still have my old Genesis, but I can play it on the Nintendo Switch's Genesis channel and the port is good so we just play it there these days. Now as for the figures, oh, that's a sad story. For my wallet that is. They were made for a Kickstarter campaign some years back, and I wasn't aware at the time. And they go for a lot aftermarket these days, and normally I can pass on stuff that starts to get too pricey (I'm not really like a hardcore "collector" or anything, I just buy toys for fun). But this one was truly irresistible, so I caved. And doesn't everybody have a Korean BBQ set?? That one is due to Supercat Junior (aka my daughter, aka my toy partner in crime). I asked her if I could snag Snake Mountain for a picture (when we bought the reissues, she took Snake Mountain, I held onto Castle Grayskull), she said to me "oh, I have this new Korean BBQ set, want to use it?" Knowing she has just as crazy tastes in toys as I do, I didn't even think to ask how/why, and so the rest just sort of happened. What can I say, our whole household is a twisted toyland haha! |
