Yes, the Kirby, FF, Thor and Steranio Shield are particularly strong. A great site that reviews all these books is aeindex.com Did they ever do a Steranko book with his later SHIELD art? He really progressed from those early issues working from Kirby layouts... Ah, there is a tale. Steranio Volume 2 was solicited 10 years ago, it was to have the rest of his Shield run including the single issues, PLUS Captain America 110-113. It was the first AE I ordered. Scott Dunbier finished the book except for the chapter breaks, which Steranio wanted to do new art for. So we waited. And waited. And waited. When asked, Steranio said he was "wrapping it up", but he hasn't. So it is in limbo,, if ever finished Scott's new company Act 4 will publish it. If? This looked to be one of the best AEs ever, but it is a source of frustration and resignation amount AE afficianados.

Over the years I've got my hopes up a number of times for things just Steranko has been involved with or linked to, always to be disappointed. That would be one of the great AE's, assuming they tracked down all/most of the original art to scan. Perfect cover choice too- my favourite one. It was the first 1960's comic I ever purchased- after seeing a photograph of it in a book I knew I had to have it. I remember marvelling at possessing a comic "so old" as a teen. 😅

Scott Dunbier has almost all the original art scanned. I think Steranio kept most of it.

Scott Dunbier has almost all the original art scanned. I think Steranio kept most of it. Awesome! That needs to be published- and hopefully whole Steranko is still with us. If they're only missing one or two pages, I hope they can either track them down, or include some kind of copy of them, so the stories remain complete. I enjoy it when I can read whole stories in these books (though I like the incomplete collections as well).

In the Artist Editions were they do whole stories, but are missing a page or two, they add a line art stat and note, "Not scanned from original art". The Steranko AE had this, as well as Rocketeer, Romita Spider-Man and several more.
