Batman #366. Had to have it for the cover plus I enjoy Simonson. Hoping the story is good.

Went to my LCS yesterday to pick up my weekly comics and I came across a trade featuring all Catwoman stories. As I think I've only read 2 of the stories included in the trade I'm really looking forward to reading the others. I've always enjoyed her earlier adventures. Love the Brian Bolland cover. Nice cover!! I have never heard of this trade before, but it looks good. Happy reading! Thanks! I actually heard about it for the first time only a couple weeks ago and coincidentally came across it at my LCS. I know it wasn't there at my shop until recently so it was just dumb luck that I found it.

The highlight is the Lois Lane story. I've checked this out of the library a few times over the last two years to read the pre-1970 stories. It has way too many post-1970 stories for me to want to pay money for it. But that Lois Lane two-parter is SWEET!

I believe you talked about that 2-parter in one of the threads recently so I look forward to reading it! Have you read the stories in this book? I picked it up years ago and have yet to read it. I got it mostly for the Catwoman stories. It includes: Batman #1 (The Cat from March, 1940); Batman #62 (The Secret Life of the Catwoman! from December, 1950); Batman #76 (The Penguin's Fabulous Fowls! from April, 1953); Batman #169 (Partners in Plunder! from February, 1965); Batman #190 (The Penguin Takes a Flyer -- Into the Future! from March, 1967); Batman #197 (Catwoman Sets Her Claws For Batman from December, 1967); Batman #257 (Hail Emperor Penguin! from August, 1974); Batman #345 (Hero Or Villainess?, reprinted here as Terror Train from March, 1982); Batman #346 (In the Land of the Dead! from April, 1982); Batman #355 (Never Scratch a Cat from January, 1983); Batman Annual #11 (Love Bird from 1987); Detective Comics #58 (One of the Most Perfect Frame-Ups from December, 1941); Detective Comics #203 (Crimes of the Catwoman! from January, 1954) Detective Comics #473 (The Malay Penguin from November, 1977); Detective Comics #568 (Eyrie from November, 1986).

The cover of that Catwoman book makes me realize how much I dislike the leather outfit she currently wears. I prefer the green/purple outfit with cape and short boots.

I have read quite a few of them and it makes me feel quite old to think about how many of them I read when they were brand new! The only one of those stories I haven't read is the one from Batman #76! I think the reason I never bought it was because it cost too much to justify buying it for just that one story. That story from Batman #62, "The Secret Life of Catwoman," is my favorite Catwoman story ever! I strongly suggest that you dig this volume up and read that story RIGHT NOW!

"The Secret Life of Catwoman" is one of my TOP TEN Batman stories! But don't get your hopes up about Knight and Squire. Their first appearance was in Batman #62, but in a different story, "The Batman of England." They are not in any Catwoman reprint collection that I know about. I'm not aware that "The Batman of England" has ever been reprinted.

Here's my favorite Catwoman outfit: She wasn't wearing this outfit when she came back in the late 1960s. She went back to it in Batman #266:

Last month I was able to purchase a very huge lot of comic books from the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's. There are complete runs, and almost complete runs. I haven't really looked through the entire boxes yet, as it is several boxes of comic books and each box has about 150 on each one. But from my perusal so far it has the complete run of Catwoman volumes 1 and 2, the long running Birds of Prey, Nightwing, Spider-Girl, New Avengers, SpongeBob, Red Sonja, Batgirl, Ms. Marvel, Spectacular Spider-Man, World's Finest, and a whole host of others. My two sons and nephews were pumped up about the collection and they are just gobbling it up.
I don't know how to post a picture of the comic books here from my cell phone. I took the picture and saved it on the computer, but there doesn't seem to be an option here for attaching a file from the computer.

Best way is to save the pictures to a picture sharing site like Photobucket and then link from there.
