No pics today, but I got a little lot from yesterday...
Batlash 3, 6, 7 (just #1 left...these will likely pop up in the DC review thread soon), then a couple Team-up with Iron Man to make the shipping more reasonable:
Marvel Two-in-One 12 (Thing and Tony vs. Prester John!) Marvel Team UP 50-something (with Spidey and Iron Man)

Marvel Team UP 50-something (with Spidey and Iron Man) 51. Although it's part of a four part story. Team-Up 48 and 49 also have Iron Man, 50 has Dr. Strange. Good stuff! That's part of the short time-period where Team-Up was doing long continued stories. It follows this lonnnnng time travel story with (*deep breath*) Vision, Scarlet Witch, Moondragon, Dr. Doom, Deathlok and Killraven... and leads directly into a cross-over with the Thing in Two-In-One.

I picked up #13 the week it came out and then a week or so later I found a lone issue of #12 stuffed behind several issues of #12 at a bookstore that always had one or two issues of the previous issue behind the current issue. Marvel-Two-In-One was such great fun back then! I picked up most of the previous issues two for a quarter at used-book stores.

My birthday is coming up in about two weeks and I decided to get the last three issues I need to complete my Detective Comics collection from #421 to #881. I bid on #467 and #470 but I won't know about that until Saturday. And I went ahead and ordered #421. (WOW! One of the reprints is a Mysto story! Mysto the Magician Detective is a very obscure DC character. I think he was in around ten issues of Detective Comics in the early 1950s. I saw him when he made a guest appearance in Detective Comics #500 but I've never seen any of his 1950s adventure.) They also had Detective Comics #382, which will give me a nice little run from #376 to #386. So I should get those in a few days.

The auction for those issues of Detective Comics that I bid on doesn't end until tomorrow. But I was looking at some of the other items from this dealer and I noticed some of the other auctions were within a few hours of ending and prices were still reasonable, so I bid on some 1970s issues of Batman, The Brave and the Bold and Adventure Comics. And I ended up winning these two for $2.50 and $4: Yeah. Wow. BRONZE AGE BONKERS! Poor Linda. She finally manages to get adopted out of the world's craziest orphanage and then attends the world's kookiest college, where your chance of having a super-villain's relative for a roommate is about 1 in 3. And then four issues later, she's back at the orphanage! I don't know how I'll get through the next few days knowing these are on the way. I'll have to console myself with Showcase Presents: Supergirl, Volume One, and Marvel Masterworks: Thor, Volume 3.

I ordered a bunch of stuff today. I won a few eBay bids, I lost a few. I got Detective Comics #467 for $4.37. I lost the bid for Detective Comics #470 but I found it on sale with another dealer at the price I wanted. So I will soon have every issue of Detective Comics from #421 to #881. I bought a mid-grade Hulk #143 for $6. I got several of the New 52 issues of Detective Comics. And I also got three coverless issues of World's Finest for 99 cents each. Including this one: Geez Louise!

I got a few things from my LCS. I picked up the second Alan Moore Swamp Thing to continue where I left off. I also picked up Green Lantern/Green Arrow #109 to chip away that Silver & Bronze Age GL series. But the one I was surprised to find was Batman #255 for $4. It's got a Neal Adams story titled "Moon of the Wolf" that I've wanted to read for a long time. Back in 1989, my older brother got a book on Batman's history (released to coincide with the character's 50th anniversary). Panels from that story were prominently featured in one chapter.

Purchased a stack of Luke Cage books, including a beat up #1. Was an awesome deal, $60 for 15 books. Even in rough shape, that issue alone goes for that. Also, he threw in some "beaters" that were bagged in old plastic freezer bags. They were yellow and gross looking and the few books were pretty tattered...except for the one below. When I saved it from its nasty capsule, it was actually in very nice shape. Very excited to read it!
