I finally pulled the trigger for First Issue Special #4. I've been curious about it for a long time but I thought it was priced too high for such an obscure book. But it hasn't gone down in price and it looks like it's in that price range to stay. And who knows? If I wait another year, it might double in price. The one I got is listed at F/VF for $9.95.

Probably worth it. It's a Bob Kanigher special, written in his "Ragman" mode, only starring a lady cop.

I got a nice run of 20 issues of Epic Illustrated. It's got the first 12 and then hits and misses the rest of the run but has the last issue. This is a run I had complete in my first collection, pretty much put together out of bargain boxes. I definitely paid more than that now, but got these at a decent price as I got them for less than what 20 new comics would have run. The Dreadstar issue is being put up for sell for alot of money and it seems some single issues on this are kinda pricy now, definitely not quarter box comics now like in the mid 80s.

My very first eBay sale was maybe, ten years go and I sold around 25 of the Epic issues including the first appearance of Dreadstar. I had the good fortune of having a co worker ,that was throwing his sons books away, give me magazines and that issue was in the bunch. Nice condition as well. It's funny but I don't really treasure books that are in large format( Treasury size, magazines) and they usually end up in a pile, in a corner somewhere in my attic.

No doubt it will go up in value when they release the feature film of it starring Brie Larson.

But I guess there's weird stuff in my collections that no-one thinks is worth buying, either.

It's not like you have 5 different formats of "CapWolf".

Won another Attu print by Sam Glanzman in this month's Lonestar auction. Added a few things (including the Conan Power Record and comic set and Heavy Metal #2) to the order to make the shipping worthwhile. I'll provide a full list and pics when they arrive next week, in the meantime a glimpse of the print via the auction photo... Attu and the Skull Pit -M
