I had no idea that that book was worth 77 dollars. I was thinking that too...a quick ebay search indicates it probably is in that condition... hard to tell from a pic, of course, and I'm not really a condition guy.. but that's a fair price assuming its a 6-7 on the CGC scale. 4-5 runs you $40-$50.. the prices vary pretty wildly, though... there are 'reader's copies sold recently under $10 and a CGC'ed 9.2 for $252.99. A surprising volume of these sell (a whole page of sold lists only goes back to August) for a relatively obscure 60 year old comic! It's crazy to find that in the 'wild'... at a non-comic store even!

I can remember seeing Iron Man 128 on the wall at my local comic shop back in the 90s, and it always fascinated me. It was a shocking image for a comic cover to me back then. Well, it always stuck with me, and I recently found a nice copy for a good price. I picked up 127 as well, because the end of it sets up the 128 story. And of course, a couple classic Spideys for good measure.

The two Grey Hulk reprints were 324 and 347 (and 377, but I don't remember if that he is still grey at that point) but they also reprinted about five others which were all Green Hulk issues.

yeah thats still a good bunch of True Believers reprints of old Hulk issues even the one with Wendigo.
But last couple of months ago since August I think, there was alot of True Believers reprints of old Amazing Spider-Man that included Morbius, Mysterio, Aunt May getting married to Doc Ock and a couple of others that were reprints of Spectacular Spider Man or at least those fasciile stuff with the old ads.
Marvel needs to slow it down a bit with those True Believers. Hard to catch up with those.

Received The Phantom Stranger #39, 40 & 41 and eager to read those next after I've read DC Super Stars #18, which also stars Deadman and The Phantom Stranger... should be epic! Black Orchid is the back-up feature. Nice Fred Carillo art inside with Aparo covers... Also: looking forward to Captain Marvel #31-33, and Invaders #41.

Marvel needs to slow it down a bit with those True Believers. Hard to catch up with those. I love them, although I don't buy all of them, since I already own a lot of the original issues. Typically, the ones I get are the old Silver Age issues that I will never shell out the big bucks to own actual copies of. I also have bought the reprint of New Mutants #98 and Amazing Spider-Man #361 so that I can sell the original copies of those books while still owning the story to read. I just bought the Betsy Braddock one yesterday, which reprints some of the UK Captain Britain issues, although it was ultimately unsatisfying since the story continues after those issues and I doubt Marvel has any plans to reprint the next part. Besides, for $1, it's really hard to go wrong.

Too bad Marvel doesnt do True Believers of Groo, The Nam, or even Dreadstar or even them doing obscure True Believers reprints of stuff like the Krull comic book adaptation or whatever

I won a mess of '70s comics on auction yesterday! Maybe the highlight would be an Amazing Spider-Man #200 which I never expected to win at the price... also a Phantom Stranger #38, Fantastic Four #164 & 165 Annual #11, Capt. America #172-176, Amaz. Spider-Man Annual #10, and filled in some more Champions (will have #7-17 now) and early Defenders runs (will have #24-30 now). I did lose a couple like a Defenders Annual #1 I guess someone wanted a lot more than i did, but that's part of the experience. I'd still like to fill in some more '70s Defenders, I seem to have trouble finding a solid run from a single seller, and with the postage being an issue as a Canadian I do feel limited to getting as much from a single source as I can (while wanting FN up in condition and newsstand editions).

I really loved those Gil Kane Action Comics at the time, especially if Brainiac was included! He also did a single Green Lantern issue around the same time which I did manage to keep (along with another Alex Toth did).
