I have been searching for the last 3 issues of this series for about 30 years. Of course ,sellers were way overpricing them but I offered 4 bucks for the lot and got it. Anyone interested in the first 2 issues ?

One more Dave Stevens cover off the list, with Halloween approaching, a sh*tload of these got put up for sale in the past week, most way overpriced, but there were a couple of very reasonable starting prices and so many listings a few got ignored and I got this for a very good price... Only two major Stevens covers left and both are likely already out of my price range (Planet Comics #1 and 3-D Zone #16 i.e. Space Vixens), and a couple of minor covers, so I don't really see myself getting many more Stevens covers unless I stumble upon something. -M

There is an oversized full color poster book with various Dave Stevens covers sans the logos and text and that's what I have, though I do have a lot of the comics as well. When I purged comics his were usually immune. The rarest thing of his I had was a 1970s fanzine titled Mysticogrifil #2. Also he was in Quack #1 and had one full page in many of the San Diego Con convention books for the late '70s and all the '80s. You can see the Mysticogrifil here: www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/mysticogryfil-1975-fanzine-dave-92361998I saw one listed on ebay at three figures.

Volume 4 of Sillage plonked through my letterbox today - well it would have if I had a letterbox, the postman just tosses stuff through the open door and runs away.

Been enjoying my re-read of Concrete immensely so I decided to pick up something I hadn't read before - GIFTS OF THE NIGHT by Paul Chadwick & John Bolton. I haven't had a chance to read them yet - any opinions? Finished reading the GIFTS OF THE NIGHT series, interesting stuff. The story is there's a king in a fictional medieval period/world whose wife died and his only son is a simpleton. The kings son is cared for by a scribe who tells him stories. During a crisis in the kingdom the son passes along a story told to him by the scribe and the king assumes his son is blessed with a mystical sight. There's a bunch of court intrigue, power plays religious persecution and various moral dilemmas played out. I didn't know what to expect, picking this series up, but I did enjoy the read. thoughtful stuff.

Got this in the mail today and thus ends my FF hunt. I now have from 100-416. The seller mailed it in an envelope without a bag or board. And my mailman shoved it through my mail slot. It was a miracle it didn't come damaged.

After joking about it in the Buried Treasures thread, I found an affordable copy for sale and purchased this: Hmm want some Kirby, Frazetta, Toth, Kubert and Wood art all in one package? Yes please. -M

I think that's it. The books that I want are on the less expensive side and I only want to pay 1 buck or less. I can't do that on eBay because the shipping always drives the price up. I'm waiting for shows to return, if they ever do.
