Day Three of Classic Comics Christmas 2024

On the third day of Classic Comics Christmas DC gave me gorilla baseball in Brave & The Bold #49.
I have fond memories of chatting with Mark Waid at a local con figuring out what the rules of baseball in the DCU must be based on all the errors on this cover (the first base bag being only half-way down the baseline in the infield and the gorilla player sliding into the bag from foul territory being the least of them) and them him calling Tom Peyer during the conversation to get his take on it all. The story is not good, but gorilla comics are always fun and perfect fodder for this countdown (you'll see at least one other later in my entries). But gorilla baseball is just a sheer guilty pleasure and this issue's cover captures it perfectly.
