I've enjoyed all the Marvel controlled and X-films I've seen except DoFP and the last Hulk. The first Spider-Man is the only non-Marvel Marvel I've seen and didn't like it. Never enjoyed a DC film, but their cartoons are real solid. Wasn't much taken with Batman Beyond, but JLU was tremendous - they just totally got the characters, and in a way that even made Goody-goody whitebread character like Superman moderately intereseting. Such a waste that all their films have been so clueless and their comics so awful.

I don't think I'm allowed to play with you any more... I am aware that my opinion on the Superman films is not one which is widely shared here - eventually, I hope to lead you all to enlightenment...

I don't like the idea of a "universe" existing in movies at all. I don't like the idea of a Flash TV show being required viewing for the next Batman movie, since one might have been something I may have been interested in watching, and the other obviously is not. I threw in the towel on super hero comics largely in part for that reason, and looks like the perfect time to throw in the towel on super hero movies as well. Which is fine, I haven't watched a Spiderman or X-Men movie in what, around a decade now? And the Batman trilogy I watched wasn't enjoyable enough to repeat.

On the DC movie front, I quite liked some of their non-superhero movies (History of Violence being the best, Road to Perdition and the Losers were a bit by numbers, but still enjoyable.)
