Being bit by the Nightwing bug continues as I bundled together two volumes with new Bedsheets in order to get free shipping

While I love Destroyer, there's a confusing lack of continuity in the usage of the character. In 118 and the second annual, Destroyer can talk when possessed by a soul. Later on, it can't

Probably not, with the pedantic, boring mindset of Marvel. Be nice to think that 2026 - which will be the 50th anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man - might warrant some recognition, or even a “spiritual sequel”, but I doubt it. Well hey, at least were getting Omnis of DC Vs Marvel and the Amalgam universe, so that's at least something

Lots of crossovers have been happening between BOOM, DC, and IDW, and personally, I'm all for it. Wonder if Marvel's ever gonna get a piece of that pie

Fixed myself a nice pork chop last night, some mashed potatoes and broccoli. Mmmm-mmmmm. Took my plate back to the kitchen to rinse it off and put things away. I cooked two chops, since they came in the package that way and I figured on having the other today. I walk into the kitchen to find it on the floor, with the two cats munching on it and little pieces stripped off. Little s@#$s! Love a good pork chop. We've kind of gotten into the habit of buying a pork loin and cutting them up ourselves in nice thick slices. So delicious~

Is that the 2001 cell phone model? Hey, it's better than my old phone and mine took photos with all the clarity of a cheese cloth

Walker's Forceworks outfit is probably one of my favorite costumes in all of comics and his kinetic shield is all minds of awesome

As someone who's a bibliophile and a frequent lurker at Uncollected Editions, I love this stuff and the unique touches every person gives their own volumes Personally though, I'd be a little bit hard pressed to think of a certain book or run that I'd want done, though DC's Blue Devil is tempting

I like Jim Lee in general. I just think those designs were uninspired and poorly thought out, like most aspects of the New 52. I don't know how true this is, but I got the sense Lee was rushing/distracted with his managerial duties. Seems phoned in. I remember an interview with a DC writer (Gail Simone, I think) who was complaining about the Nu52 for exactly that reason... it was rushed and poorly thought out. She said she had only a week or 2 to write each of the first issues of whatever series she was on. The art was likewise rushed after writing. It was a matter of just cranking out 52 different titles with no time to really create any kind of cohesive editorial visions. So, "rushed" became the editorial vision. There was also the fact that the Batman and Green Lantern titles were for the most part largely uncommitted to the reboot. I think a lot of companies when building a new comic book universe could really take a page out of the Malibu Ultraverse's book or even Valiant. If you're going to do something that big that you're promoting the absolute hell out of, you need to stick the landing and make people care about your product. But sadly they have Warner Bros money, so they can do what they like and not care about it in the long run

Something that's weird to me is the amount of people who find Mayo on a hamburger revolting. Personally I enjoy it on a Whopper when I have one on the rare occasion but I see a lot of people treat it like a crime against humanity Also, found out about this earlier. MeTV (the people who air Svengoolie) is creating a sister channel called "MeTV Toons", a 24 hour cartoon channel that's on good old rabbit ears. Couldn't be more excited variety.com/2024/tv/news/metv-toons-network-launch-weigel-broadcasting-warner-bros-discovery-1235988916/

Picked this guy up yesterday on Clearance at Walmart Kinda got bit by the Nightwing bug and wanted a decent figure of him (thought about the full-size McFarlane version, but it didn't have his billy clubs) While it's a nice figure, I find the design choice of him having bendable legs a bit odd considering that the rest of him isn't as posable (not sure if the original Super Powers figures or even Secret Wars were like this) Overall, very pleased. Well worth the four bucks and is a wonderful little addition to my "mood shelf" on my bookcase

That's because with very limited exceptions, mostly Tomb of Dracula, Wolfman isn't a very good writer. I generally enjoy his work, but I agree that he's one of those journeyman writers, rather than somebody who makes me think "wow, this is brilliant." I quite like his run on Amazing Spider-Man in the late '70s and early '80s though, although it isn't a must-read run IMHO. I remember his tenure on Thor after Conway, it felt kind of like a re-introduction to the character and a little bit on the bland side

I think the biggest problem a lot of people had regarding nu-52 was how directionless it felt and how uncommitted it was to being a total reboot
That being said, I did enjoy Redhood and The Outlaws quite a bit
