Mr. Spaceman 's Flash Comics cover has an appealing charm for me, and gets my vote.

No offense intended to officers of the law, but someone had to do it, and it was in the era of The Hawk and the Dove that the derogatory term "pig" became widely used by the American youth that this series was attempting to depict. My secret personal cover challenge continues. This is #28 in the series, with a maximum of 26 covers remaining!

Week 31 of my secret classic cover personal challenge! I had to bow out of last week's topic, since I didn't have any qualifying entries in my pool of available covers. It looks like there are a maximum of 28 covers remaining in this project, but probably 26 or fewer.

Mister Spaceman hit one of my nostalgia buttons with the CI Hunchback.

This one looked like I might have to bow out, especially after two of what I found out were very few options for meeting my secret criteria were taken before I had a chance to post...but then this beauty turned up! By my recently adjusted count, there are a maximum of 28 covers remaining in my private cover contest challenge.

It threw me for a bit to see the Dell brand on here--had me scratching my head thinking "Dell didn't publish Cracked, did they?" No, but it seems they did publish paperback format reprint collections (looks like the last collection in this series was 1974), making these collections possibly the last comic book material they published, since they ceased publishing their own comics in 1973.

This was a really tough one to satisfy with my secret personal contest criteria, but I'm now down to a maximum of 29 covers left.
That brings me close to the half-way point in this project. It's going to be a lot harder now, since I have fewer and fewer options each week. While I have many more than 29 covers available to choose from, each cover has a unique additional criterion. Each week eliminates one of those additional criteria, leaving me with less flexibility, some of which are a lot harder to match with a week's theme than others. So I have tried to use up the most challenging ones whenever possible. By my current estimation, I have five that are going to be very difficult to fit in with the week's theme, but then, I have already found a chance to use 6 criteria that I thought would be tough ones, so thanks to those OP's who came up with a topic that made it possible. (Unfortunately, when I started the project, I used up some "easy" ones that I probably should have saved for the crunch; that is, covers that met my secret criteria and also had enough variety and selection to meet a lot of the other criteria that might come up as the weekly contest challenge.) I'm probably going to need a win or two along the way so that I can use up some of those difficult ones by defining the topic myself!
And Rob Allen, I've heard that "everything's bigger in Texas"...but sheesh!
